"Wir haben uns im Tolani Resort sehr wohl gefühlt. Schade das die Bauarbeiten noch in vollem Gange sind. Dafür wurde das Frühstück morgens in die Villa gebracht. Personal war super freundlich. Besonders Jean Ble . Abends war eine traumhafte Ruhe … "
"Lovely quiet resort and nice little pool. The beach is nice but you can’t really swim because of rocks but we just enjoyed pool time. It’s also just a couple of quid ride to the night market and all the eateries and stalls so a good little position. Food and drink nice at resort too. Our room was huge with a lounge and kitchen with little terrace and hanging chair - gorgeous! Staff were ALL so lovely :) "
"I have stayed here twice and would stay again. Away from busy tourist areas but nice peaceful garden setting with individual cabanas. Across the (moderately busy) street from the beach but was no issue during the low season getting across. "
"The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful you can really feel that they care about their guests. The atmosphere is very relaxing, making it a great place to unwind, and the food is delicious. Overall, it’s a wonderful spot to enjoy a peaceful stay.

"Very clean and modern hotel, fantastic value. Staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet has many options, both Western and Eastern cuisines. It is South of the main urban and beach area of Lamai. The walk is moderate, but the hotel also offers a free shuttle (scheduled, must RSVP 2 hours in advance, did not use) and it’s easy to call a cab. Good selection of local restaurants nearby (notably Sabienglae). Recommend if you are looking for a quieter option rather than being in the heart of / on the main beach of Lamai. "
"The hotel is on a lovely beach, a short walk to restaurants and bars in a quiet location, staff are friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was excellent for me as I like an English breakfast followed with a bowl of yoghurt fresh fruit, nuts/ seeds after a fresh cup of coffee from the coffee machine. The hotel restaurant in on the beach front a plus.
The rooms are a few years old, but are nice with a comfortable bed and a balcony overlooking the green walkways which connects the hotel complex.
Would I stay here again, yes it gets my approval.
The only problem was the shower water pressure was a bit erratic.
I had a fantastic holiday with my son here who also loved it."
"Everything was great, a little dated, but not dramatically. Beautiful gardens everywhere adding privacy. Biggest issue was there are loads of stairs which could be an issue for older travellers like us!"
"The Rock was a beautiful place. Staff was amazing and the place itself is beautiful. We stayed in the ocean front villa, which is actually three separate “rooms”. A kitchen - stove, fridge, toaster and toaster oven, kettle, etc, with place to sit to eat and a toilet. Then two separate suites for sleeping etc. We were two couples, so perfect for us.
Pool is amazing and there’s a nice shady room right off the pool to get out of the sun.
Beach is pretty, but not a swimming beach. When the tide is very high you could get in, but otherwise, too shallow and coral right off shore.
This place is walkable to Lamai beach, but it’s about 20 minutes, about ten minutes along a very busy road. You can’t get to Lamai by walking on the beach (big rocks in the way). There are a few restaurants in the other direction, but again, you’re walking along a busy road.
The Rock itself serves breakfast and lunch. Their kitchen closes at 4pm. A small breakfast was included with our room, which was a beautiful cappuccino and two small, delicious waffles, all delivered to our kitchen.
The staff at the Rock is exceptional, and accommodated us wonderfully. They helped us arrange massages in our rooms, and guided us to finding restaurants, etc. Our flight was in the evening, well after checkout, but we were able to stay in the poolside room all day. "
