"OK, let's get things straight. This is a super cheap hotel in an excellent location in a capital city. SO, do not expect anything less than adequate having paid pennies for it. It says excellent as it says on the tin and the bad reviews are correct but out of context. I paid £24 in a capital city......bedroom was adequate and private bathroom (although seperate) was adequate. I stayed in room 6 and I would not feel safe leaving any valuable things in that room due to the door being shabby but...

"The room was clean. My mom and I think that it is still new as all the furniture is relatively new. Only down side is no lift which was my fault as I didn't see it and we had to carry down 2 30 kgs luggage down the from 3rd floor (luckily we didn't need to carry out). But my main purpose is to choose somewhere near the bus station so no complains on that. "Stay here at your own risk. Tried to arrange pickup of keys 24 hrs in advance as directed in the booking info. Called the number provided numerous times the day prior but no answer, ever. Expedia tried to call, again no answer. Sent chat messages via Expedia app to hotel, no response. Landed in Sofia, again called hotel, no answer. "Lumbo was an amazing host. He was welcoming and friendly, and whilst his English wasn't perfect he and his chef went out of their way to help us with our stay. We were fed with delicious home cooked cuisine every breakfast. We enjoyed the newly installed sauna in the evenings after a days skiing! Lumbo really went the extra mile, finding me a dentist and acting as a translator when I suffered tooth pain at the end of our stay. Three walk to the ski lift is 15 minutes but there are lots of good...

"I booked this hotel last minute for perhaps cheapest price from available in internet to enjoy skiing in Borovets for 2 days. I am very satisfied with this affordable choice, because driving to/from borovets is easy by microbus going each 1/2 hour from Samokov bus station for price 1.30 BGN only. I enjoyed also visit to Samokov Monastery - service each evening at 17:00 - right after skiing."
