"Decent king sized room. AC was good but no heater. Mini fridge in room. Coffee machine was available in room but the water chamber was not properly cleaned- so did not use. Room was clean upon arrival. Just the tub is pooling and not draining properly while showering. Staff were very helpful. Coming from parking from Scotia Square to the hotel was a bit of a walk and since we arrived late night from the airport, the elevator was locked from 9pm-7am. Staff was able to contact security and they were able to let us use the elevator as we had 2big luggages and they wont fit on the escalators. FYI, better to drop off your luggages first into the lobby if u arrive after 9pm, then park after. Otherwise, it was a good stay. Location really good as it’s in Downtown and the buses are just across the street from the hotel. Will actually recommend to stay here if u just need a decent and clean place to stay. Will come back when going to Downtown Halifax again. Thank you!"

"We stayed here for three nights. Our room was renovated and top notch. This location is ideal for both accessing Halifax proper but more particularly the South Coast. The staff were very friendly and helpful and, if you like top shop, the retail district is just down the road. The continental breakfast was decent but a few more items like muffins and fresh fruit would make it even better. The bed was very comfortable as well. If we venture back to Halifax in the future, the Coastal Inn would be our first choice for accommodation."
