Great new hotel, right next to the train station. Several good restaurants available locally. Great free breakfast. Free drinks token instead of housekeeping if you make your own bed. Small bathroom is the only downside.

The bath was lovely. The breakfast buffet in the restaurant downstairs was top-notch! The location is handy enough, and from the higher floors you actually get a nice view over the city to Mount Aso (I think is the name?) Either way, the staff were helpful, and it was bright and clean in our room. Pretty much had everything we needed!

We travelled to Takachiho all the way from London. This hotel was so clean and had a wonderful view to Takachiho hills. Hotel staff were so helpful.
I love to visit Takachiho again and love to stay at Hotel grateful Takachiho.

Due to typhoon and heavy rain, we got stuck at Oita due to JR and highway suspension.
Lucky to stay in this hotel. Very convenient location, 3 mins from JR station, and with cover for most of the way to hotel. This is critical under extremely bad weather.
Smooth check in process and very helpful front desk lady who speaks fluent English. She helped us to call to cancel the hotel originally reserved. We then got free cancellation.
As the laundry dryer was locked, my husband got immediate...

What are holiday rentals like in Saiki?
Holiday rentals are privately owned properties you can book for a few days, or a quick weekend, in Saiki. Holiday rentals offer extras like laundry facilities and kitchens so you'll feel just like you're at home. If you're concerned about a sanitised environment, a holiday rental can offer a sense of seclusion away from shared hotel lifts and lobbies packed with people while still allowing you the excitement and enjoyment of travel. You'll also find more space in a holiday rental than in a hotel, which makes a holiday rental an attractive choice for a family getaway.
