Yaklaşık 170 yıllık konakta kalmak çok özel bir deneyim. Üstelik eski çarşıya bu kadar yakın bir mesafede olması ayrı bir ayrıcalık. Sabah kahvaltıları ise hem lezzetli hem de doyurucuydu. Hatta az yiyelim de dışardaki yöresel lezzetlere yer kalsın diye düşündük. Eski adetleri yansıtacak şekilde havluların tülbent içine sarılması ayrı bir güzellik. Konağın kendisine ait bir otoparkı yok ancak oldukça yoğun bir dönem olmasına rağmen önündeki sokakta yer bulmakta hiç zorlanmadık. Ancak, bu güzellikleri daha da iyi hatırlayabilmek adına özellikle yatakların konforu anlamında biraz yatırım yapılması gerektiğini düşünüyoruz.

Quaint Ottoman House with a Great Location

We spent two nights in at the Mehves Hanim Konagi in Safronbolu. The Konagi is one of many old Ottoman houses turned into hotels. The Mehves was quaint and nice. The woman operating the Mehves was very nice and she prepared a very good Turkish breakfast. The location is really central to the interesting areas of Safronbolu. Like most similar Ottoman Konagis, there is no air conditioning. If you drive, beware - available parking is on the street (see photo). During the summer it might be impossible to find parking in the town.

Safranboluya geldiğimiz Mehveş hanım konağında ailemle ikinci konaklamamız.konak muhteşem ,Sevgi hanım ve Ahmet bey çok ilgili samimi ,güler yüzlü ,sıcakkanlı insanlar, kendimizi evimizde hissettirdiler,kendilerine ayrıca teşekkür ederiz, Fidan hanımında elleri dert görmesin hiç bir şeyi eksik etmedi teşekkür ederiz.odalar temiz düzgün hijyenik.yataklar uyku kalitesini arttırıyor.kahvaltı çok iyi daha iyisi olamazdı hiç bir eksik yoktu.çocuklu aileler için beşik mevcut.doğası muhteşem temiz havası ciğerlerimiz nefes aldı .çarşı muhteşem insanlar güler yüzlü ,kahveleri lezzetli.canlı müzikleri var gezilecek yerler fazlaca sıkılmak imkansız.herkese iyi tatiller.seneye tekrardan görüşmek üzere .

Kuş sesleriyle uyanmak

Çok güzel bir eski konak. Özenle restore edilmiş. Safranbolu'nun oldukça kalabalık yer yer gürültülü olduğunu gözlemledik. Mehveş Hanım sakin bir sokakta. Gece bülbül sesi ile uyuyup sabah kuş cıvıltılarına uyanıyorsunuz. Yemyeşil bahçesi çok keyifli. Bizim için esas sürpriz sabah kahvaltısı oldu. Böyle lezzetli ve özenli bir kahvaltıyı tüm tatil boyunca yememiştik.
