"Breakfast was exellent but evening meal was poor and expensive"

"The room was clean but clearly dated and in need of repair. The restaurant staff was off putting and didn’t seem to know what was going on. The menu barely listed the ingredients and when we disclosed a food allergy, they didn’t say anything or write anything down about it. Food was clearly not fresh and was thawed from frozen."

"Staff very helpful and efficient. Breakfast choice excellent and fresh fruits in abundance and constantly replaced as needed. AMy only reservation was with the bathroom/ shower room which was a bit 'tired' and tiling grouting needed attention as was a bit grubby. Other than that would stay there again.i"

"We stayed in a wheelchair accessible room. Unfortunately the entrance to the bathroom was not readily accessible as it was too narrow. The bathroom itself was very well equipped for a person with limited mobility."

"Must read review My stay was disturbed by a football team who ran up and down the corridor screaming and banging on doors. Episode lasted for about two hours. Two calls to reception before action was taken and things returned to normal. My two kids were left terrified and due to this I did not sleep. No alternative room was offered during the whole episode . I have tried complaining and was offered 20% off my next stay and a complimentary breakfast. I’m of the opinion that if your stay was left interrupted to this extent and your kids were left terrified nothing short of a full refund or something close to the amount paid should be offered. If the hotel reply to this review (which I doubt as they have been a little poor at responding generally ) I would encourage anyone who has read this review to question what they say. Perhaps with my review they might eventually respond to my complaint sufficiently (fingers crossed)"

"Our room was clean and comfortable, but just a bit far away from reception... I think we were the furthest out in 292. The staff were excellent... so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good overall... just one criticism... the hot buffet was served onto a cold plate. This meant that the food, which had already cooled a little sitting on the hotplate, was quite cool before it was all eaten, however the quality of the food was very good. The bar area was very good, again the staff were friendly and helpful. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was excellent."

The hotel and location are good, but the service was inattentive with long waits, particularly at the bar and again at breakfast where there was confusion with orders and delays in being served. There was a general lack of engagement from staff. The food offering was functional but unremarkable. I did not dine in the Michelin-starred restaurant. As a five-star property, charging a high rate for EV charging felt unreasonable. I would not consider this a standout or particularly recommendable stay."

"Our room was great! Although its a little outside the city centre, it is most definitely worth it as its just a 30 min bus ride our so away. I enjoyed our room, it was large and comfortable especially for the price. Our room was a non-smoking room, but did smell like smoke a bit, but it was ok. Overall a nice stay and would come again!"
