I would give this hotel about 3 out of 5 stars in total. Our stay was absolutely fine and no real problems but we have definitely stayed in better ones. I have some summarised some points below.
-There were no spaces in the car park for me so I just left my car next to some stairs in the car park and luckily didn’t get made to move it and pay somewhere.
-We had to give our room key in at reception when going out for the evening and collect it on our return which seemed really weird to me! Never had to do this at a hotel before, but fine it wasn’t a massive problem.
The staff were all lovely, very polite and friendly.
-The room was in need of updating, there were holes in the walls, very outdated decor and bed sheets and a lack of lighting. We normally both have a plug socket either side of the bed to charge our phones overnight, this wasn’t the case with our room here, which again wasn’t a big deal but a little touch that could be improved on.
-If they pumped a little money into the place it could be a more comfortable stay.
-This was the cheapest option for us to stay for one night somewhere close enough to walk into the town where all of the restaurants and bars are.
-I would book this hotel again if it came up cheapest out of those in this location.
