"Perfect locations. Rooms are comfy and well equipped. Good view from the balcony. The stairs to go all the way to the hotel are insane!!!! I was lucky one member of the staff helped me with my luggage to go up and go down. Thank you!!!!"

"Breakfast was the best part of our stay. Our room was the most expensive hotel I’ve stayed at - we found out they jacked up the prices for a DJ competition. All the hotels were even more expensive. We were there three nights before our cruise, but will not be visiting Amsterdam again. THE dirtiest city; even the Rijksmuseum was dirty. Disappointed. But the breakfast was good!"

"Dikker is situated right in the heart of the city, fabulous location! We loved the staff, who were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Our room, King bed overlooking the canal, was quite spacious & comfortable. The bathroom appeared to be brand new and extremely clean. Our room was refreshed daily with clean bedding, bath towels and amenities. The lounge had a coffee/espresso/etc machine 24/7 and an awesome bakery right across the street. Although not a 5 star hotel, it offered anything you would need. We really enjoyed Dikker & Thijs and would stay here again in a heartbeat."

"The breakfast was great! Had something for everyone. The only negative comment I would make would be about the toaster. That was a bottleneck with people waiting for their item(s) to be toasted. It could only service 2 pieces of bread at a time. It also is different than an American Toaster in that you had to physically handle the frame rather than just a drop-in and set. Perhaps fit in another toaster but other than that, great breakfast offerings. The single rooms were a bit pricey in comparison with what was charged for the doubles."
