Two couples from Australia travelling together were absolutely delighted with our time in the Bay of Islands. Our stay at the beautiful Arcadia Lodge in the charming town of Russell made the experience even more special.
Arcadia Lodge is a boutique accommodation overlooking the picturesque Matauwhi Bay, just a short and pleasant walk into the heart of Russell. This charming historic home is tastefully appointed, blending character with modern comfort.
Our suites were very comfortable, featuring king-size beds and thoughtful touches throughout.
What truly made our stay memorable was the outstanding hospitality offered by our hosts, Greg and Peter. Greg shared fascinating insights into the history of the home and provided us with detailed information about Russell and the Bay of Islands region. He also went above and beyond by making restaurant and tour bookings on our behalf.
In addition to their warm hospitality, the ultimate highlight was the beautifully presented three-course breakfast created each morning by Peter, featuring fresh and preserved ingredients from their garden.
