"At the end of our Sri Lanka holiday we decided to spend a bit more on our Unawatuna hotel & were not disappointed. We had large rooms with loads of space, kitchen, really comfy beds, excellent views from our balconies. The staff were helpful & the pool lovely. We did book nicer rooms that some there & didn't eat so can't comment on the food. It's a bit of a walk or a short Tuk Tuk ride to the main tourist area or a beach but that also means it's quiet there."

"We loved staying here, we extended our stay by nearly a week! The rooms are clean and comfortable. The view of the ocean is fantastic, and I've never seen such beautiful sunsets. The kitchen was simple, but had everything we needed. The staff and owners were lovely. I want to thank Sandy specifically because when my partner injured her foot, Sandy helped tremendously. She brought some aloe plants from her home and helped us apply it. She is such a genuinely kind person. The only drawback is...

"small hotel, big mess behind the reception desk and in the open store room. First they had to change the dirty sheets, a TV with no connection, the room needs a makeover. In short the hotel is largly overpriced, not to be recomended. A new pool is beeing built, no time for maintenance."

"Friendly and happy staff in all areas which says a lot about how the hotel is run. Had my room unexpectedly upgraded on arrival due to a fault found with the originally booked room. The room I had did have a small issue with the private jacuzzi leaking but no major issues. Food and drink were excellent throughout my stay. Highly recommend staying here to anybody wanting a few days of relaxing peace after touring the country."

"We had an amazing stay. The family room was spacious and nice. Every attraction is in walking distance, which is great since our kids 7 y.o. and 9 y.o. don’t want to walk too much. ;) The staff at The Fourt House is perfectly accomodating and made our stay even better due to their heartwarming art. The breakfast was outstanding!"

I visited during the off season and had the entire place and pool to myself. the AC in the room and hot water pressure in the bathroom was a great surprise.pool was great and clean and we'll maintained. you can take a pickme to go around the town and get to the beach . would visit again"
