"The hotel is in a great location and the rooms were spotless, modern and comfortable. Breakfast was a nit haphazard. Tables were not available and there was no check in so you had to find your own way. The staff were very friendly and tried their best but they were somewhat overwhelmed. Also, there was a power outage on my second morning so no TV or power sockets were available but overall, it was a nice stay."

Oulton Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort

"We got an update and room was fab. Lovely decor and bathroom and shower excellent. Loved the wee touches like espresso machine and towel robes. Hotel staff amazing, especially the waiters in the restaurant. Gorgeous lounge, bar and library with lots of comfy seating and beautiful views over the grounds. Pool and sauna etc really great. Breakfast good. Meal in restaurant good. Cocktails good. Some negatives The temperature in the room was so high. Even with AC on all night and windows open as much as we could it was sweltering. Don’t think the AC was working. Beds were so hard and pillows not comfortable. Also duvets were synthetic and way too high a tog. So with this combination I didn’t get a good nights sleep. So, unfortunately this did take the shine off the weekend. Be wary of rooms around the 130 number - there was an unpleasant smell in the corridor, which a member of staff said was coming up from kitchen below, but it smelt like blocked drains."

"Lovely city hotel, excellent large rooms with super comfortable beds. Scrupulously clean, nice classic styling. Great value breakfast and really helpful staff. Coffee machine would be the icing on the cake! Close to all amenities in Leeds."
