"The room was small but immaculately clean. It was ideal for a one night stay. I met Peter, the owner, and he was very helpful with regards getting about and recommending local places to eat. There was ample parking outside too. Whilst the other guests weren’t in any way noisy, unfortunately the walls are very thin and I could hear the slightest noise very clearly."

"Staff during meals, especially breakfast when I was last one in, were awesome and so friendly. Two young ladies, one with baby due at Christmas, couldn’t have been more helpful. Lovely breakfast, lots of choice even at 9am. The lads on duty in the evening were also lovely, but service was rather slow even before coach full of Australians arrived."

"Excellent cottage. Well furnished and equipped. Remote yet a good base for exploring the area. Car recommend. Only issue was with the communication. Booked through hotels.com and awaited instructions for check-in which didn't come. Tried to contact host using messaging service provided but got no response. Tried calling hotels.com for help who couldn't resolve the issue. Ended up at cottage late at night with no way inside. Turns out the details were sent from Sykes cottages...so if booking look out for Sykes emails"

"Our first time glamping. It won't be our last. Extremely clean, well thought out pod. Our host was excellent and helpful. There was a small issue with expedia regarding communication with the host before arrival. It was not our hosts fault, but on Expedia's side. Excellent location, excellent host, close to some excellent sites!"

"A fantastic find! An idyllic treat in stunning scenery. It's so quiet! Andrea, the host, was lovely and introduced me to her property with such pride that I felt right at home. Bed was incredibly comfortable and the hot tub was a huge treat!"
