"We had an amazing overnight stay at the Annex. Nancy, the host, could not have been more welcoming, informative and helpful. The cottage was ideal for our particular needs - a rather last minute booking - and very clean and well equipped throughout. It was beautifully warm, and the property is set deep in a very beautiful part of lovely Exmoor. Would highly recommend this cosy cottage for a couple and reasonably priced as well. "

"This was ideal for me. I loved it here. It was really peaceful. I couldn't hear a thing apart from the birds and the occasional sheep. I stayed for 4 days and I wished it could have been longer. There is no TV in the hut which also suits me to the ground. The wi-fi is excellent so if you do want to watch something on an I pad or tablet you will have no problem with the reception. "Perfectly good hotel, very easy access to the motorway and on a par with Hilton in the UK. No real wow factors, but clean and comfortable for a short stay. Best things about the room: comfortable bed and excellent, large TV. Worst things: shower water was a bit feeble (conserving use of water for the planet?) and furnishings a bit minimalist, though adequate. Other than that, there’s a rather odd policy of providing tea and coffee from a machine in the corridor. Fine in the daytime, but not so good if you like a cup of tea in bed before you get up. To be fair, we were offered a kettle at check-in, but I would much rather that tea and coffee were provided in the room as is standard practice virtually everywhere else. Breakfast was ok, but not outstanding - seemed to be a lack of plates and cutlery."
