Staff are so friendly , washroom and shower are old and not comfortable, bed is so uncomfortable, towels are old and bad smell, We were in 6 floor and the lady ( maid) for this floor was perfect and polite.

the rooms smal for 4 . 2 adult 2 childern. ther is ants in rooms and they know it they admited. 7 floor no elevators so we carry the stroller an suitcase in ands. breakfast poor. coffe was good. no aircondition who colles in just vent

It was classic Italian,But There was NO WATER for the first 24 hours, and they made NO accommodations to help with the situation There was no need ice available, the front desk staff did little to help first timers navigate to restaurants The bathroom was so small we could barely squeeze into the shower and the mattresses were made of some strange, uncomfortable material with metal pieces sticking up out of it!!

Hotel was great! A Great location in Rome. We walked all over and were close to great restaurants and attractions and shopping. Staff was helpful and had rooms ready early! Family friendly!

When we checked in, the front desk seemed extremely stressed. I was staying in Rome with my husband and two children. We reserved a quadruple room for 4 nights (booked 9 months in advance). We have never needed to complain about our rooms before but the room we were given initially was an accessible room, which normally I wouldn't mind but not only did my son have to sleep in a hospital bed (literally) and my daughter needed help getting onto the toilet because of the extra high and specialized seat but there was clearly no air conditioning (95 F/ 35 C outside). We specifically were told it had air-conditioning which was part of the reason we booked this hotel. Later after asking, we were told the air went out and they were fixing it. It was never fixed so after no sleep we requested a new room the next night which was supposed to be an upgrade but had no air conditioning either. Two nights in there since we felt silly complaining again, but we couldn't bare it any longer. They moved us again into a smaller room with no air which thankfully we did not unpack this time and were finally moved into our 4th room where we stayed our last night. How very disappointing and inconvenient this hotel was. They didn't even seem sorry for the hassle they caused us. It felt to me like this is just normal to put people in rooms until they complain. I do not recommend staying there.

This hotel was supposed to be a 4 star hotel. The hotel was understaffed to the point they didn’t answer the phone when we called for room service. The first day when we checked into the hotel there were several people complaining of no hot water to shower on a 98 degree day. The second day we no hot water and ice cold water or shower in another room where everyone else was also showering. Not a a 4 star hotel.

Location is perfect. However I had no hot water for the first 2 days. I wasn't told til I complained and there was no eta of when water would be working. I also had to discover when the water was working properly without any acknowledgement from staff

Tired and misleading!
Location brilliant, but not a 4 star hotel. We stayed 4 nights which was 3 nights too many. We had no water for 16 hours and when it did come back on we had only cold water for the next 20 hours. Rooms are small and bathrooms are tired. Pictures are misleading. Especially the porch one. It’s not even the same building! No bar as stated and no room service. Corridors always cluttered and a massive shortage of light bulbs throughout! The lift worked well though!

Slow Check-In, but Worth it!
I arrived at the hotel very late after a delayed flight, so it was frustrating to have to wait a while to get checked in. But aside from that, the hotel is comfortable and in a perfect location! The breakfast is good and the service (aside from the slow check-in) is excellent. It's definitely worth staying here!

The room was lovely and the beds are really comfortable. Despite having had a two year revamp there are still areas that look tatty. The walls in our room were also quite dirty. A quick wipe over would have sorted this easily and given a better impression.

Awful hotel, This is not a 4 star hotel!!! The only good thing about it is the location. Terrible deco, awful room (very small, dirty walls, inadequate lighting, chipped furniture & toilet seat!, bad pillows, AC doesn’t seem to work, no place to put things in bathroom...), horrible breakfast, no restaurant, insufficient lighting in corridors & a guy in reception with an attitude. Don’t waste your money, there are 3 stars hotels around the corner that look much better! Expedia please review this hotel!

the only good about this property was the area that was perfect other then that everything else was very disappointing. the room we've got was so tiny we barley manage to move in the room not to mention to be able to open the bags. i don't know why they offering this option of this room for 2 persons. even for 1 person it's terrible. i cancel another reservation of a different hotel which was much cheaper to this one and the price was really expensive it doesn't worth it. i came with my mom and the reception guy when i complain about it ignore it.

Nice location and clean
The hotel location is perfect. It is close to everything and next to metro and bus station. Breakfast is good and has a variety of food. The main downside for this hotel is the room size. My room and toilet were very small, however it is clean and quiet. Few staff were very nice and helpful, some are not. Not sure if all hotels in Rome city center are small!! I do recommend it for the location and cleanliness.

Overall, very basic hotel, but close to all the attractions-Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Via Del Corso and clean. The free breakfast is basic but enough to fill you up until lunch/early dinner.

Terrible Hotel; not a four start!
The only two positive things about the hotel was two things: location and two receptionists one called Fabio and anothe Egyptian guy (forgot his name). Otherwise, everything else should be one star. Not sure how this hotel got four stars. Lobby looks worse than a hospital waiting room. IC of our first room did not work properly. Bathroom fans had annoying sound. Too much dust in the room closets. One receptionist almost shooted at me when we first arrived. Another did not have the energy to talk. Bathrooms are small. And the worst was the breakfast: nothing is tasty, the Restaurant is terrible with bulky chairs, coffee and milk from a dirty machine. Same staff who serve you you see them cleaning the bathroom two minutes later. It is very clear that the hotel is owned people who know nothing about the hotel business and just using the hotel location to make money.

Great location, not bad for price
I stayed at the hotel for 10 nights, it is very close to the Metro and other desired locations in Rome. It was a little cramped with 2 adults and 2 children, but we didn't stay in the room much just enough to sleep and then back out sightseeing. The staff if very nice and helpful. Breakfast was descent and the wifi was intermittent in the room but worked fine in the lobby.

Well situated hotel near Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. Basic comfort, not fancy. Room was clean, very quiet. I would not call it 4 stars but worked well for a family trip. Good breakfast for us. Staff was kind and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay at the Anglo Americano Hotel, and the staff were very friendly. The hotel's furniture is basic and not luxurious as what you would expect from a four star. The weather was very warm, but unfortunately the ice machine was out of order, so cold drinks were out of the question. The buffet breakfast was slightly disappointing as scrambled eggs and mini sausages were the only warm options, and there were two types of ham and one choice of cheese for the continental options. There was however a vast array of sweet tarts and pastries which we found unsuitable as a breakfast option. The location of the hotel is excellent, and we used the metro a lot to get around. The Wifi is not free, but it doesn't break the bank either.

WiFi and shower don't measure up.
WiFi was chargeable and only one device could be connected for €5 for 24 hours, that's what you would expect from a run down pensione. A bit grubby. Decor is dated and bedding not very appealing, horrible brown blankets. Good view to the back and good location. Shower was dark as it was tucked away in a corner and no mats to prevent slipping inside shower or on tiled floor outside. Had to use towels.

Exploring Rome
The hotel is in a great location, within waking distance to the shops, restaurants and bars. The metro and local taxi rank is situated around the corner. The main attractions are all within walking distance which is the best way to see all the beautiful buildings and great shops. Our room was clean but a little on the small side but it was only a base to sleep. Bathroom was a good size with fresh towels each day and plenty of hot water. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times.

No bar, no restaurant, unhelpful staff, tiny useless shower,room like a sauna ,worst breakfast buffet I have ever seen or tasted ,how this hotel got a four star rating I will never know clearly someone has been bribed. Please save yourself a miserable disappointment and avoid this hotel ,the only positive is the central location but that is not enough to make up for this glorified b&b .

I really liked the staff so friendly especially the 2 young gentlemen on the front desk, they were great to chat to and really helpful. room was clean and tidy and location excellent, only thing I would complain breakfast was busy and we couldnt sit down some morning but that didnt matter down the road a nice cafe and not expensive
