Dear Sarah,We would like to point out something about our accomodation, because we don't want other people to be confused by your personal opinion. Locanda al Viminale is a guesthouse, and actually if you read the description on our page, you will not find anything that says something different than this.Regarding the pictures, on our page you will find the pictures of all the rooms we have. We only have 3 double rooms, 1 triple room, 1 quadruple room, a family room ( that is the one you reserved) and an apartment.If you really had seen the picture of the Family room on our page, you would have recognized it since we only have one of that kind, so you got the room you booked.Regarding the smell, as you noticed the room and bathroom were clean, so you guessed well, it was from outside.As for the blanket on the beds, we want you and all the people that will read this comment that we check the rooms every day after the cleaning, and change the blanket at each check-out.Anyway it might happen that we miss something and that the laudry did't the job very well, if you told us we would have change the blanket on your bed without problem. After all we want to thank you for your review, we are glad you appreciated our staff and that breakfast exceeded your expectation.Regards

Hello Jane,we are sorry you didn't like the room, but as you saw, we are a small guesthouse, we only have 5 rooms, 1 family room and one apartment. That means that we gave you exactly the room you reserved.As for the light, we improved it, so thank you for giving us that feedback.As for the tea and snacks part, actually after Covid-19 the governmet established that it is not possible to make buffet, to reduce the possibility of contacts between people in the common areas and reduce the contact trasmission of covid-19.You probably read about this service on the old reviews (before March 2020). We will be very happy to restart this service, when we will be free to do it.We hope you enjoyed your stay in Rome anyway.Best Regards

We would like to point out something only to be clear to all the people that will read your comment. Our reception is not open 24 hours per day, it is clearly specified in the description of our turistic facility in each website you can find us. Anyway we are at the desk every morning and in the afternoon. During the check-in we provide to our guests two differents telephone numbers which are available 24 hours per day. As for the brakfast, we are sorry you think it is hopeless, but it is usually one of the most appreciated service we provide to our guests. It includes always the same number of slices of both ham and cheese, and if it happened something different with you, we apologies for that, but still that if you told us about it we would have checked and solved the mistake. In any case we hope you enjoyed your stay here at Locanda al Viminale. We would like to thank you for giving us the possibility to clarify these details. Regards

As for the description on HOTEL.COM, we are sorry you were confused, but we do not have the possibility to deal with it personally, because it is precisely the site that manages the contents. We will make the necessary checks to make sure that other guests have the right information. As for the elevator, we are sorry you had these difficulties. However you could have used it without problems. As you could see, our tourist facility is located on the first floor of a nineteenth-century building, one of the few to have an elevator throughout the historic center. What we really want the most is to clarify the question of residence taxes. The request for city tax is imposed by the territory. In Italy, each city has its own tourist tax. and the amount may vary. It is possible to pay the tourist tax in all ways, but we ask to our guests to pay cash just because otherwise we should pay the bank fee on the city tax probably you don't understand the receptionist's explanation and however you paid them by credit card without problem in fact we ask to our guests if it is possible it is not a must. This is not at all a way for us to take money. And honestly, we feel offended by this consideration especially because it is done anonymously, next time we suggest you to inform yourself better rather than to accuse baseless. Best regards,
