Honestly had high hopes but this was a let down. We were given a room on the second floor on the back corner of the hotel, which was right above trash cans and a homeless encampments. We were told it was an amazing room because it had 2 windows instead of 1…
The first night my wife and I couldn’t sleep between the cars driving, the trash trucks, and city coming to clean and move the homeless encampment up. The windows are poorly insulated so you hear every last sound. Maybe 1 window would have been better.
This is however not the worst part. There is a smell in this hotel that I probably will never figure out, a cross between garbage/sewage or old salami/food. It starts in their elevators, then their hallways, and you can smell it in your room. Word of advice clean the carpet in the elevators and hallways more often with a fragrance or just change to vinyl flooring it’s cheaper and easier to maintain.
They moved us to the highest floor into a smaller room than I paid for because it’s my fault apparently the first room is loud and stinks. No discount offered.
Also I personally don’t like that they advertise their rooftop restaurant so much, as someone that’s staying there I don’t like the idea of strangers walking through the elevator and hallways to my room to get to the restaurant. I think it adds to this strange odor in the elevator.
The biggest positive was the staff was very nice and attentive. Did their best to try to take care of us as much as possible.
