Stayed for 4 nights and for the price the hotel was great. We were travelling as 3, so the room we received was very roomy. The bathroom had been updated and the shower was much better than other hotels in Italy. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The only thing I would complain about was the free Continental breakfast. It basically consisted of canned fruit cocktail, ham, cheese, bread and some croissants. A little more selection or a bit of change every other day would have been good.

Good location near Termini Station.
The hotel is across the street and about 2 blocks from Termini Central Station in Rome. It's down a main street so it's pretty safe to walk even if you get in a bit late. It shares the building with 2 other hotels, and the reception is at the 4th floor, which is fine. My room was a small singe, with modern furnishings. If you're a little on the large, style you may be a bit cramped in the shower. I'm 5'3" and a bit slim and it was just right for me. The only issue I had with the room was the air conditioning, which was not working. As I was there the first week of July when it was 34*c (93*f) you can imagine how tough it was. The fan feature of the air conditioning was fine but the air would not cool. I complained at the front desk. To be fair, the gentleman manning the desk was friendly and accommodating, but my complaint was "lost in translation" so to speak so the problem was not resolved. I decided to let it be since I was only staying one night on my way to Milan.

Stayed in this hotel for three nights when we visited Rome. Strictly speaking, it is rather like a B&B to us than a hotel. The sign for the hotel is small so it is easy to miss. The hotel is on the fourth floor, with a VERY old lift (it was out of service for 2 days during our stay). The breakfast was really terrible so we went out to have breakfast instead. The pros for this hotel are it is close to the Roma Termini, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the room is clean.

Great affordable hotel near Termini
I was in Rome for 2 nights at the end of 2 weeks elsewhere in Italy. Hotel Argentina was clean and comfortable and very convenient to the train station. I had a single room and it was tiny, as expected, but the bathroom was recently renovated and it was gorgeous. Breakfast was perfectly adequate, staff was very friendly and went out of their way to ensure I had anything I needed. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hotel Argentina to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable and affordable option in Rome.

Not too bad, not great. Good location (walkable to anywhere you want to go, lots of buses nearby). The staff are pleasant and helpful. The "queen" bed is two twins attached to each other and the crack is quite noticeable. The duvet was a bit worn. Continental breakfast is pretty good. The coffee isn't great, but you can get an Americano, which, as an American who has been living in Italy for a while, was a welcome change.

Great hotel and fantastic service
Stayed in this hotel for a long weekend. Room was spacious, clean and had a lovely bathroom. The hotel is walking distance to the coliseum and close to the bus and metro station, so easy to get everywhere. The staff were fantastic, so helpful and lovely, they gave us a map and advice on how to get places and were to eat. I also forgot a top there and they were kind enough to post it back to the UK for me. Definitely recommend it!

Very nice for the price!
For the price I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. Recently renovated bathrooms, friendly staff, decent breakfast, and excellent wifi (best I've had in Italy). Location is right near Termini, which is nice for getting around.

Economic single floor hotel steps from Termini
It's location is its main draw if you need a short stay near Termini. Room was impeccably clean, but not very spacious, if you need a lot of it. The breakfast was generous. I'd stay again.

Great hotel for sightseeing
It is a small family run hotel within walking distance of the main railway station and easy access to most of the main sites of Rome. We arrived early for check in and although we couldn't get into the room we were able to leave our cases with them and explore Rome. The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. The room was large with excellent storage and a modern bathroom. The breakfast was a normal continental buffet with a range of pastries, cereals, fruit, cheese and cold meats. My only negative is small - the only available English TV channel was al-jazeera International.

Very convinent for the train station
This hotel is extremely close to the train station - ideal for a short stay. It is a strange set up as the hotel is on one floor of a large building containing various hotels; however the street felt safe. Rooms are basic but acceptable for the price and the free wifi is a bonus. Fine for 1-2 nights especially if you arrive late or need to leave early by train. Did not get a chance to try the breakfast.

Worth it!
This is an older hotel on the 4th floor of a building which houses several hotels/businesses. If you are looking for a super-clean room and a great location for walking to the sites (and a couple of blocks away from the Termini) and have no expectations about a dressed up lobby, a room with a view, new furniture or fancy bedding, then you will be very happy with the Hotel Argentina. Internet worked fine, the room was warm and the free breakfast was all you can eat (buns, cheese, ham, croissants and yoghurt, plus coffee & juice machines). Stayed in Room 109 and it was super quiet.

Hotel Argentina is 5 min from the train and metro station. There are many restaurants nearby. The staff is very friendly and the room is big and clean. We had four people in the room and there was enough space.

This was a pretty good hotel for the cost. The tv did not work which I didn't mind too much. The only real problem was the noise in the hall. The doors to the rooms were tough to lock/unlock and there was no carpet on the floors so every time someone was in the hall trying to get into their room there would be five minutes of very loud scuffling. This went on all night long. Breakfast was good, croissants and juice.

Nice hotel. But...
Hotel Argentina is nice, has larger-than-usual rooms, air conditioning and tv. The locatin is superb, 3 minute walk to the Roma Termini train and bus station, and 10 minute walk to the colosseum and the Palatino. But... The whole hotel is located on the fourth floor of a really old and cranky building, together with other four or five hotels or hostels, the entrance to that building made me recall those low rated motels of the darkest cities. There is only one elevator (lift) that can accommodate merely 2 people with luggage and having to take your bags 5 floors up is quite challenging with those steep stairs. Overall, nice hotel but I'd probably look for other one next time.

Great Location but very basic
Hotels in Rome during October are VERY expensive as full of many tourists. This hotel was perfectly located to walk to many of the obvious tourist attractions and the staff very friendly and helpful. However the hotel is in a large building shared with a number of other small hotels, and in our case our room was on the next floor. The lift is small max three can fit.. The room was very 80's and very very basic but did have aircon. The breakfast was acceptable (just) but again basic. Go here with location in mind and you will not go too far wrong BUT only if you plan as we did to be out most of the time!

Nice room, could be closer to Rome attractions
Two (large) blocks away from Termini, the main bus and train station, so easy to take a bus anywhere or take the train to airport or other Italian cities. But not so close to some sightseeing and nightlife - plazas for example. So if you really like walking or don't mind taking the bus, which can get crowded, this is a great option. Nice room, larger than others I've been in Europe. Very clean.

Comfortable hotel in good location
Comfortable hotel and good value for money. Situated 5 min walk to Termini train station, airport buses also drop off at this station. Room was good size, clean with good sized bathroom. Extra bonus was having a fridge, air conditioning, internal safe (this is good as you need to hand your key in when you leave the building), internet access in the room and within easy walking distance to the many attractions. The complimentary continental breakfast was ample.

Great value for your money...
Been to Rome many times and am familiar with costs from the low end of the spectrum up towards the top end. You can't beat this place for ** euro (single) anywhere. Its not the Taj Mahal but neither is it a dump. Clean rooms, great location and simply put great value for your money. There are a number of places that charge you more but give you less... Nick

Customer Service needs serious help
It worked as far as a hotel, however, the customer service was the worst I've seen. The internet was not working and the only answer I received was, "I know nothing about computers! Sometimes it just doesn't work!" Not only did the represtentative yell at me, he didn't even try to resolve the issue. Also, do not try to have any guests in your room. If you do, they must pay 20 euro, even if it's for 20 minutes to wait for their train. Once again, this hotel is livable, but the customer service is not worth the hassle.

Enkel standard men helt ok: rent, tyst och trevligt bemötande i receptionen. Mycket bra läge nära Termini. Hotellet ligger på fjärde våningen och hissen är gammal och långsam, glad att den inte var sönder. Kan tänka mig att bo där igen om jag behöver en kort övernattning i Rom.

Das Hotel liegt nahe dem Bahnhof Termini im 4. Stock eines Hauses und man kann die meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten von dort aus zu Fuß erreichen. Es ist also geeignet, wenn man nur ein Bett zum Schlafen braucht und den ganzen Tag unterwegs ist. Unser Zimmer zum Hinterhof raus hatte schlichte, alte Möbel mit Gebrauchsspuren. Es war recht leise. Das Frühstück war sehr schlicht. Eine Sorte Scheibenkäse und eine Sorte Schinken, Weißbrotscheiben, Kornflakes, Joghurt und Kuchen dazu ein paar Getränke. Im kleinen Essbereich stand die Luft und es war etwas muffig.

L'hôtel et la chambre était très propre. Dans la chambre on n'avait pas beaucoup accès à la lumière de dehors à cause des fenêtres. Le matelas était ferme, mais on a bien dormit. La télévision n'avait presque pas de chaines. Le déjeuner c'était tous les jours les mêmes pâtisseries froides achetées au magasin avec du café et 1 sorte de céréale.

Goed hotel vlak bij station Termini. Makkelijk bereikbaar. Alleen aanduiding (bord of duidelijk huisnummer) was wenselijk. Maar alleen om het te herkennen. Je loopt er zo voorbij. Maar eenmaal gevonden kan je het niet meer missen.
