Its only good for solo budget traveler. It doesn't look like a hotel more of a Home-Stay... staffs don't speak English. Breakfast was just ok!

Nice stay for a few days in quieter, more residential part of Rome. Still a good number of restaurants around, not touristy. Nice size rooms with air con and fridges. Room serviced each day. Great terraces on top of the building. Breakfast a good spread of cereals and pastries in terrace area. Only things I would note was that the breakfast is served 7:30-10am not 6:30 as mentioned on Expedia. Also not sure why Expedia says it has a pool, it definitely does not...

This place is in Ghettos .very dangerous.
Dirty sheet..horrible experience. I paid the city tax after total paid including tax. I heard the siren sound all night.disgusting dirty area.far from the city center. Subway ticket machine didnt take the paper money.we had to walked to the other station to use that machine. The woman worker there was very unkind. No explanation for the city tax.i paid online everything but she charged me the city tax 12euro without explanation. So dirty experience.

Comfortable Stay
Although not in an ideal location, it wasn't bad to travel from to see all that Rome has to offer. Found it really easy to get to the Colloseum, Vatican, Trevi Fountain etc....I think I managed to see quite a lot in the 9 days I was there. Two ladies on the staff spoke really good English and was extremely friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions on what to do. Breakfast - good variety: cereal, bread to make your own toast or sandwiches (cheese, toms, cucumber supplied), bread rolls, individually wrapped croissants filled with jam. The only thing I didn't like was the tiled flooring - I found it quite cold, especially in the mornings. Housekeeping I would rate as very good, always a clean bale of towels when I returned at the end of the day. Bathroom clean. The room is small (I travelled alone), but if you're only looking to rest your head after a long day, it's perfect. TV had two channels with English speaking programmes, enough for me as my favourite American shows were airing,

Basic, but perfectly acceptable
Not the best location - reasonably close to centre but cut off by rail tracks and nothing much (e.g. bars, restaurants) in immediate vicinity. Direct tram to main rail station. Room adequate (en-suite bath even though description said shared). Good a/c. Breakfast buffet low-end but edible, staff friendly, no problems.

The best hotel in Rome for this price near trendy Pigneto area.
For ten years I am on and off in this hotel with friendly staff, clean and quiet (not on the ground level though) rooms, a simple breakfast on the roof terrace (a bit cold in winter), tv and fridge near this cheap and trendy neighborhood called Pigneto. Just a few stops from Termini by bus or tram. Wifi off course. Try Pigneto winebar and opposite pizzeria on the corner of via Perugia or coffeehouse Necci (from 1924 popular day and night) on walking distance!!

Alternative Rome Hotel
It is located a bit off centre, but with very good transport links, bus stop 3 min walk, and most important tram line same distance in 13 min u are into Termini Station. Room was nice, sort of old-fashioned Roman villa in upmarket neighborhood, breakfast was poor, ambiance chill-out.

Ok cheap hotel
Hotel was miles from the centre, certainly not walking distance(about 15 euros taxi to some of the sights) Was near a tram stop but we didn't use that during our stay. Hotel was clean and tidy, staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms had air conditioning. Breakfast was juice, coffee, cereal, yoghurt and an assortment of preserved/packet foods ie crispy toast, biscuits, croissants and that cheese you put on burgers. In a nutshell bad area, bad breakfast, but hotel and staff are good, what do you expect for a budget price

The best deal you can get in a budget.
I was more than satisfied. This hotel gives you a room with a bed and bathroom. But in addition you get your own small terrace. They have free wifi and breakfast. Now you aren't going to get help from the staff about where to eat or how to get to tours or anything like that. But you are only four stops from the main train station in Rome. There you can take sightseeing tours find places to eat, etc. The room even has a small fridge, so in case you get hungry you can bring back eats, in case you get hungry. The room even has a small television, but I did not watch much tv. If you are on a budget, then this is your hotel.

Please read this before going.
My room was very very small. Otherwise, it was fine. Clean, had AC. Not all single rooms are this small as I got to see several rooms within the hotel - Seems hit and miss what you get. **** On leaving, they will charge you for any drinks you drink from the room - they dont warn you this until you leave. They also charge you for "rome tax" which is 2 euros per night - it is said that it is included in the price, but they will still charge you **** **** Breakfast is very dissapointing - e.g. toast is dried biscuit shaped like a toast ***** If it wasnt for the above 3 points, it makes sense to stay at this hotel.

Clean basic hotel
The only thing i liked about this Hotel was the fact that it was clean. We had booked a double room but when we got there we were put into a single room and when we complained they said that it was our fault for booking at the last minute and the hotel was full so they couldn't put us into another room that night but would give us a double bed! Breakfast was pretty bad - nothing warm except tea/coffee and toast. Location of the hotel was ok but not only it was far from town, there were no restaurants nearby but on the plus side there was a tram station and bus station close by to get into the town which took ~25mins but felt longer as it was always crowed!

Short city break
This hotel is far from being a 3-star. I would give it at most 2 stars. Room is small, was not clean. Breakfast is horrific, nothing fresh, just plastic wrapped stale cheese, crusty bread, rubbish jam, disgusting coffee. Reception staff very helpful and kind. Location is surprisingly good in quiet residential district, very safe, there is a frequent bus 105 and a tram yellow line that take you to Termini in about 15-20 min. There is even a night bus. Overall I would not recommend staying there unless you are on a shoestring.

Clean, low-budget accommodation
The room was very smal,l even for a single, but that's ok as I wasn't going to spend any time there except to sleep. It was spotlessly clean, which is more important to me than spaciousness. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was basic-packaged bread and croissants, juice and coffee from a machine. Since I was looking for an inexpensive, clean room relatively close to Termini this hotel was just right. I used both the tram and bus to get to Termini, an easy 10 minute journey. I also got a cab at night from the centre of Rome which cost 15 euros. If you don't like to use public transportation and want to be in the centre of it, this wouldn't be the hotel for you. If you are on a tight budget and don't mind a short bus or tram ride then this hotel offers good value.

The Hotel staff were very friendly but unless you can speak Italian you will not converse much, not that you need to. The location is very close to a tram but the area is out of the way from all the major attractions. It is easy to get the Rome Termini to get links to central Rome but it can feel laboured after a day of exploring on a hot day. The breakfast was very basic and I would have expected more. The room we were situated in was below the breakfast terrace so were woken up every morning by chairs scraping and the rooms do not sound proof well. The room was very small in comparison to the impression the pictures give. It was clean and the bed was comfy. The fridge in the room was handy as it was so hot in rome. The room had aircon which was nice. Overall, it was ok, not great but not bad.

Great hotel, tricky location!
The hotel is OK for the money and the staff is very courteous. The only problem that I found is that no tour agency offers pick-up service for this hotel. They say it is not a central hotel, but it looked pretty central to me, I walked to the colosseum in half an hour. The big problem is that you have to spend a fortune in taxis just to go to the tour agencies and come back. They usually cost more than the tours themselves, which puts a big hole in your wallet!!! Otherwise this hotel is perfect for what you pay for it.

Great for Price but.....not for the Roman Experiece
Hotel was great, quality price, staff were friendly, room was very small and cramped, the wifi didn't work beyond the lobby. They were telling us that it was due to "technical difficulties" Well, I stayed there a week, and there was no attempt to correct this technical difficulty. So, other people in the hotel were camped out in the lobby each night to try to use the internet. The WORST thing is that the hotel is far outside of the city center! You have to take a train to the Termini station. Depending the time of the day these trains were so packed that you practically were chest to back. Also, there are few places to eat in the area of the hotel, and it's like being in a "ghetto" of Rome. Graffiti is sprayed everywhere in the area of where the hotel is located and you will need to carry your wallet in your front pocket when you walk around the neighborhood. Very few people in this area, that I tried speaking to, spoke English. I would suggest to anyone, if you want to go to Rome for vacation, pay the extra cash and stay in one of the more centrally located in Rome. You'd have a better experience. I did that on my first trip to Rome, wishing I had did that on this time.

Hotel Antico Acquedotto-Rome
We considered this a good bargain, comfortable abd a very typical European hotel. They served an adequate, cold continental breakfast in a clean, fresh top floor area. We had a little bit of a language barrier, mostly with evening personnel. Daytime was much better, but all made a great effort to be helpful. Location is less than a block from a .75 Euro ride to the main Terminal of Rome. The Taxi Mafia in Rome rips off US travelers by not using direct routing, so negotiate cost in advance, carry a compass and sit in the front seat.

the hotel was great, but hard to get to, I had to take a cab from the train station, and they riped me off, my advice is take a cab from the airport stright to the hotel, cause they are going to charge you the same either way, its about 60 euros, make sure that you watch the money that you give to the driver, they will switch the bills on you if you turn your back and say that you gave them a smaller amount, but the hotel was great, close to the tram, the tram stops running at 10pm

Kinda far from city center
I had a small one-person room which was REALLY small. But all the amenities were there nevertheless. Check-in was fast and easy, and there was a computer downstairs and a printer at the front desk when I needed it. Not many options for breakfast in the morning, but it was included in the room rate. The biggest problem was the location of the hotell pretty far from the city center. You basically have to take the tram (well, technically a narrow-gauge railroad) to main train station in Rome and take metro from there and in the evening the trams stop fairly early, so beware. Also, my room was a bit noisy - could hear everything in the corridor on my floor. All of the above said - it's a good bargain, since hotels in the center will probably cost you twice as much.

Good budget hotel a little out of the way
First off all, this feels more like a very basic two star hotel. The building is old, and even though it's kept very clean you can tell it's a little run down, there's that typical funky smell coming out of the bathroom, etc. I'm not saying don't stay here, but you definitely need to adjust your expectations. The location is not the greatest, very quiet residential area, during the day it's easy to reach, the tram station is literally a few steps away, but they stop running relatively early at 10PM, and after that, the taxi from Termini will cost you 20 euro. It's great that they offer a complimentary breakfast (not very common in Europe at all), but again, don't expect too much, it's all prepackaged bread and pastries. The staff is very friendly and attentive (night person is not great with english though), feels like a family run operation that provides a good service a a decent rate. Personally I think next time I'll spend the extra few bucks to stay downtown, but I don't recommend against this place, just know what your getting into.

Great value
Not the poshest of hotels, but it is a great deal. Much better than I expected for the money. About a 45min walk to downtown, but only a few minutes on the tram that stops 1/2 a block away. Hotel was clean, staff was very friendly and helpful and there is a great local neighborhood nearby, with some good local eateries.

Great Hotel, Amazing Value
This hotel is a great value--great staff, great breakfast (pastries, fruit, yogurt, espresso/cappuccino machine, toast, cookies, juice, etc.), clean room, quiet, and good location w.r.t. Termini Station. The station is about 4 stops on a tram away from the hotel, and the tram stop is about a 3 minute walk from the hotel. The only thing about the tram is that it is hard to find while you are at Termini--it is down on the lower level away from the other tram stops, so I recommend taking a cab from the station to the hotel and then when you take the tram back into the city, you will see where to catch it. It is about a 15 Euro cab ride from the train station. There is a computer with high speed internet in the lobby that is free for guests to use. Rooms had a TV and a nice closet among other things. The bathroom was a little small, but it is Italy after all, and that is to be expected. I highly recommend this hotel!

Worst hotel in Rome - Antico Acquedotto
Avoid this hotel in Rome. You will repent for your decision otherwise. Rooms were clean, but the service was very bad. Breakfast time was 8 to 10. The receptionist came at 8.15. So we had to wait downstairs for the receptionst as the restaurant was locked. When she arrived she had to make few calls to maintenance for hot water. She then went to setup the breakfast in the restaurant. Finally we got the breakfast at 9AM. Hot water was not available, and finally we had to skip the bath as it was still very cold in early April. Avoid this hotel. Locality is also very bad. You need to catch some tram which is very far from Rome railway station, the hotel area is not very good.
