Initially, I was worried regarding the hotel since the building it is in did not look like the photos - it is on the 4th floor of a shared hotel complex, that of which was pretty run down. However, when I eventually reached the 4th floor, the Floris Hotel had a clean and fresh look to it with a security door at the front. The receptionists were always lovely and helped me with any questions I had, including looking after my bags on my final day so I could still explore Rome and advising me to my best transport options.
The room was small and comfortable, but as a solo female traveller that was all I needed. It was clean, the bathroom was large with a big shower and came with a few toiletries. The bed was comfy although the pillows were paper thin, the only major issue I had with my room was the constant noise - the fridge is extremely loud, the walls are very thin and I could hear the morning routine of the person staying next to me very clearly. Apart from this, my room looked after me well!
I would recommend Floris Hotel despite any cons mentioned due to its cleanliness, comfort and overall pleasant feel when you reach the 4th floor.
The location was ideal, I bought a 3-day metro card yet ended up walking most places. Don’t feel initially threatened by the look of the outside of the hotel since the security and comfort of Floris was more than I could’ve asked for.
