Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites in North East (Erie) by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"The best items in my opinion are 1-the beds are the MOST COMFORTABLE ALONG W THE PILLOWS!..2- there are TWO pools one for adults one for children and then a hot tub so chances are good you can take advantage of two of those if you are seniors like us 3-the BEST place in Erie area to dine is a short walk across the road to New Harvest Restaurant where you can enjoy FRESH CUT FRENCH FRIES like KENNYWOOD --I had a Pontine-- french fries with a wonderful brown home made gravy topped with onions seasonings cheese curds(I made two meals out of it the serving portions are HUGE...and the chicken tenders/ haddock are FRESHLY made and melt in your mouth HUGE portions the desserts made by BRETZ BAKERY homemade absolutely succulent! Further across the road is the most unique tractor I have ever seen in a very tasty fruit etc farmer's market--the pickled green beans/jellies/smoked items we bought the smoked cheese curds yummy-lots of plants as well as fruits veggies and yes you can walk over to it -- they let you have a bag to carry your items in! TY Holiday Inn"
"Great location not far off of I 90 . Quiet location been staying for several years . The last room I had was the first room I can say showed any signs it’s time for improvement and it was only the carpet in the high traffic areas in the room ."
"Hotel was clean and up to date. Located conveniently off the interstate and across the street from the casino if that is of interest. Only about 15-20 minutes to Lake Erie"
"Staff is friendly. Parking and location are great. You get what you pay for. The rooms lack what I would consider basic amenities (there was no mini fridge, no microwave, no coffee pot, no hair dryer). The room was pre supplied with only one bath towel and there was not enough pillows. However, the room was clean and orderly. We both experienced back pain from the mattress, but that may just be our personal experience. We would stay again if in the area for one or two nights."
