The room was clean but in serious need of upgrades and most of our party had to change rooms multiple times due to issues with AC and bathrooms. Staff was fri ndly and helpful when we needed them. I did not use the gym or laundry amenities.

You were paying more for the location than the amenities - it's not a hotel you stay at all day, but it's perfectly fine and safe as a home base to go into Rio

Fantastic hotel that could easily be a 4 star. Very clean, nice rooms, great staff. Breakfast in the morning was always really good & a few minutes walk to the Copacabana. Highly recommended for any stay in Rio.
