I believe the cost in the city justified a private bedroom with a personal bathroom, which proved much less expensive than alternatives offering free parking outside. I recommend this location.

Best value for a 2 star hostel with or without private bathroom. Location is okay with Bonus grocery store around corner. Accommodation has shared kitchen and dining room that you can use. There are stairs to get to rooms on 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors with no elevator. I recommend for short stays.

The rooms were clean. The stairs and hallways needed help but a sign on the wall said that carpet is on order and will be installed soon. I appreciated that notice. Check in and check out were self serve but the instructions to check in were detailed in a message.

Great location!! It’s about 5minute walk from the main shopping area (Laugavegur). There’s no staff on site for check in but a clear detailed instruction was provided. It was easy, The common areas such as the lobby and kitchen were minimalist and modern design. No airconditioning as it’s common in Europe. Opening the window was adequate and made the room cool and comfortable. The private bathroom has a stand in shower similar to the cruise ships.The PAVI Guesthouse is a good place to stay in Reykjavík! I will definitely highly recommend this place.

Cozy place

It was a nice cozy place, small rooms but comfortable beds. We stayed in a two beds room, it was quiet, and close to the tourist area and restaurants.

Although the room is very simple but there are extra WC and shower room on each floor so very convenient. It is very close to the supermarket within walking distance. The shared kitchen on the main level is a big plus which we did not expect.

Great location near to the main shopping and eating areas. Also close to bus stop 12:where we where collected for our trips. Basic room but comfortable and warm. Great kitchen where many residents cooked meals and made drinks. Cleaning staff in every day and they kept everything clean and tidy.

Very nice and clean and close to various restaurants. The area is super walkable too. The only reason why I'm giving it 4/5 stars is because of nearby construction... they start their work before 8am and it's insanely loud.

Very nice property. We were able to cool our meals in a full kitchen that included pots, pans, cutlery, and dishes. The shared bathroom is just like a campers village thing. You get your own stall to do what you need to. Definitely coming back the next time I visit.

It was nice, nothing fancy but worked out good for one night. We were on the fourth floor and there is no elevator so keep that in mind if you have difficulty with stairs or very heavy luggage. Make sure you receive the email with entrance details a few days before your stay, I had to reach out about it. There is a shared kitchen area where you can make a meal which is convenient.

Nice little room downtown Reykjavik. Not much to it, no tv etc. but comfy bed and nice shower. Keep in mind there is no elevator (at least that I saw) so taking luggage up and down can be a pain.

Check is was easy as the instructions were sent days before our check in. Renovations were happening in the common areas and were all beautiful and modern. Hallways outside of the rooms had not been touched so they were a little dark. Only issue was one travel mate got stuck in the common are bathroom as the door handle was not installed yet. Overall great stay near main shopping area in Reykjavik. We got lucky and found parking right out front!
