These were my favorite Icelanders… the people were nice too, but the horses were the friendliest. Not sure exactly where this was taken – there are horses EVERYWHERE and we stopped to visit with lots of them.

A wonderful place to spend the night
The property was very nice, I enjoyed the interactive troll themed hiking trails and spring fed hot tubs in the evening. Cabins were clean and cozy, probably the comfiest mattress I slept on durning my trip. Each cabin had a small mini fridge and the shared bathrooms were only a 30 second walk away. ...

Nice cottage under the mountain. Easy access, about 1.5 hours from Keflavik Airport by car. Very good option for a stopover to west or north of Iceland.
