A garden with a pond, seating area, and flowers.

Arnimsruh Hotel Garni

St. Gertrud

10/10 Excellent

We got caught up in traffic and didn't make it to the final check-in time (18:00). Luckily the hotel called us, and we were able to check-in via the phone (incl. Covid-19 paperwork). We greatly appreciated that. The room itself was a bit old (70ties technology for the radio and alarm clock), but otherwise clean, spacious and well lit. No problems with the beds either. The bathroom was a bit tight, but otherwise in good working condition and functional. Shower had decent pressure. Internet...

Waldhotel Twiehaus

St. Gertrud

10/10 Excellent

A perfect stay in a beautiful city, location is perfect in a quiet neighbourhood and 2 minutes walk from the number 12 bus stop which takes you into the city. The lady owner speaks very good English and is a real character with a great sense of humour and this made our stay very enjoyable. Breakfast was a quality buffet with cheese, hams, salami, salmon, yoghurts, jam, breads etc. and delicious coffee. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

H+ Hotel Lübeck

Sankt Lorenz Süd

10/10 Excellent

The whole experience staying at this hotel was wonderful. My German isn’t very good but I always feel you should try to speak the language of the country you are staying in. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming and very professional and patient with my attempts to converse in German. The room was excellent for the price and the breakfast was more than sufficient with excellent choices. I would recommend staying at this hotel.

Anthony

A neatly made bed with white linens, a dark headboard, and a framed coastal landscape picture above it.

Baltic Hotel

Sankt Lorenz Süd

10/10 Excellent

The hotel is located opposite the bus station and 100m from the train station, but there was no noise as the hotel had good double glazed windows. The room was clean and bright, with a very clean and maintained bathroom. The room has Wi-Fi (about 6M download speed) which was reliable during my visit. The breakfast was typically German, with cereal, breads, cheeses, cooked meats and fresh fruit, it was very good. Generally there is nothing to complain about with this hotel, and I'm sure if you...

A bedroom with a bed, a white spiral staircase, a television, and a desk.

TOP CityLine Klassik Altstadt Hotel

Lübeck Old Town

10/10 Excellent

Single traveller staying 4 nights. Single room of modest size, but certainly very adequate, being well cared for. Location could not be better, the Old Town being within a few minutes' walk. Railway and bus stations a short bus ride from stop 3- 5 minutes away, or walkable in 20 minutes or so..Breakfast fine, taken in a pleasant room. Staff willing, efficient and helpful. Don't believe there is a lift, so anyone with limited mobility would need to check the practicalities before booking...

Jeremy

A bright dining area with wooden tables and chairs, large windows, and a glass ceiling structure.

Hotel zur alten Stadtmauer

Lübeck Old Town

10/10 Excellent

The hotel has an inspiring colour scheme throughout, which really differentiates itself from other hotels. It's focus on quality and service is reflected in this together with the staff's friendliness and attention to detail, e.g. The food variety and home-made items at the breakfast table are just fab! The lack of an elevator, which means that suitcases need to be carried up and down the staircases, makes the hotel up by it's high standard of hospitality. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

A buffet with various food items and condiments.

Holiday Inn Luebeck by IHG

St. Gertrud

10/10 Excellent

I don’t normally comment on check-in as it is standard, but the young woman who checked us in was so welcoming. She seemed genuinely interested in the places we had visited on our holiday. She was also helpful in explaining everything about the hotel and its proximity to the old town. I did not take her name but she told us she came from Namibia. The hotel swimming pool is quite small and the changing room floor rather wet, but it made a change after a week of travelling. If you need glasses to...
