The staff was way better than what most reviews had us believing before we left. Good options were ok. They make it a little more difficult to book meals than it needs to be and most places are moved due to all the construction happening on the adult side of the resort. AC was phenomenal as was the hot water. So many vendors and seaweed - both which were to be expected. It was a great time. Not much entertainment or music. Bring your own seasoning because there is no spice to anything!

The scenery was great. The property advertising was not accurate, they didn't advertise that the property was shared with family area. They advertise All Adults plus the phone service was out and shower head broken. No Adults activities.

They were undergoing some renovations that seems to have some staff displaced. This did make some service slow. However it was still very enjoyable and the property was beautiful. The views of the ocean landscape were amazing. The staff was friendly and happy to help and the food on the resort was amazing. Will definitely be back.

There were some good things about this resort but unfortunately the negatives overshadowed them: -the AC unit was incredibly loud and woke us up multiple times a night -black mold in the bathroom -they started renovations during our stay (without notifying us beforehand) including closing down the main pool and 3 of the restaurants -there was a TON of seaweed (on the beach and in the water) -too many people trying to sell you things on the beach

The hotel is in a very old and dilapidated condition. We were assigned a room where the outlets and switches were literally falling into the wall. The staff can sometimes be very rude and unprofessional towards guests, and most of them do not speak or understand English. Tipping doesn’t help at all; the service does not improve. The beach was incredibly dirty. We stayed at an adults-only hotel, and swimming in the sea was impossible due to the uncleaned seaweed. Additionally, on the beach, you will be harassed every 15 minutes to buy excursions, souvenirs, or massages. There were also ongoing renovations and closures of restaurants and pools that were not mentioned during the booking process. There were issues with restaurant reservations; you need to book everything as soon as you arrive because later on, it’s impossible to get a table since everything is constantly fully booked or closed. I wouldn’t go to Catalonia hotels anymore.

Upon checking into the property we immediately went to eat by the beach as that was currently the only thing available. The service was horrible and the staff weren’t pleasant. In fact rude and dismissive. Later that evening we were trying to book at the spa for the following day and were then informed that the entire front area of the resort was going to under go renovations and they weren’t sure if that was going to be open. When we went to the front desk the woman who assisted claims that she had just received that information. The room was dated, and staff weren’t what appeared to be in the hospitality profession.

The air conditioner in our room was leaking, there as water all over the floor. We reported it but no one did anything didn’t even offer another room. We ended up putting towels on the floor to avoid a fall. The TV never worked either. The air conditioner that’s not cool the bathroom, so it was like a steam bath. Our books and passports pages were curly up from the humidity in the room. The people at the lobby are very nice but yet they don’t do anything to fix the problems. The concierge… is a joke they made us reservations for thematic restaurants that were closed. We ended up having to stay 2 additional nights because of hurricane Milton, and the front desk did not even offer help. They told to do it thru Expedia. I must say that the entertainment is fabulous and the employees in other areas are super nice and accommodating. I would not recommend this resort.

My stay was generally quite enjoyable! The food choices among all the restaurants were quite good, except that this resort is somewhat behind the times in not offering any significant choices for individuals wanting vegan/vegetarian protein alternatives for their diets. This was really surprising considering that they cater to a wide international audience of tourists! Our wait at check-in was way too long, and my room's A/C could not be turned off or sufficiently turned down; so it always too cold for me!

All areas of this resort are hot and uncomfortable so don’t think you’ll sit at the bar drinking for any extended period, staff looked miserable and would cut you off while walking, check in is at 3pm but our room wasn’t ready till 5pm, no food anywhere from 1030-12 only pastries, beer was rarely cold, there’s a “steakhouse” that serves no steak on the menu, the food was edible but nothing to be classified as good, and being tricked into a “vip” breakfast to have to listen to a sales person pitch on vacation was no fun. Also, to hear multiple other people complain was very telling. This is just a cheap all inclusive for older people (the vast majority of this resort) that have never been anywhere tropical or have any type of expectations. If not, there’s so many other all inclusives that actually feel like a resort and an actually vacation with friendly helpful staff willing to make your stay amazing but this isn’t it.
