"My stay at Titikala was a little bit odd. I expected that it would be a homestay, but it's more like a lodge for tourists, and when you've booked a spot, some locals come and also stay there (at least that was the impression I got, things were not actually ever explained to me). Uros can be very touristy during the morning, so it was interesting to be there in the evening, and to be able to kayak around, without all the tourist boats.
