Nice historic hotel

A historic hotel well kept and with a lot of charm in a nice little village. The room is small is not very big but with antique furniture, bathroom is renewed. Location in the best part of main street, with a great restaurant across.

Great experience

Everything about this hotel is great. They take you back in time when nothing was too good for you. I have been in South Africa for 6 weeks and the evening meal was delicious on all courses. The best I have had on this trip. Service very friendly and helpful.

Zimmer sauber, Matratzen unbequem, durchgelegen, Betten sehr klein, statt abschließender Tür zum Badezimmer eine leichte Schiebetür mit jeweils großen Lücken, damit NULL Privatsphäre, generell extrem hellhörig, massiv moskitoverseucht ( Antirepellent, etc. ) neben dem Bett. Personal freundlich, Garten sehr schön, Poolbereich eher schmuddelig. Barangebot samt Essen gut. Sichere Parkmöglichkeit.

Very old and unique building in a very attractive and quaint town. Very helpful staff and great breakfast. Modern bathroom. Due to the age of the property there are certain peculiarities eg odd locks and old furniture. There was no air conditioning and it was very hot- might be a problem for some. Unfortunately the swimming pool was not swimmable in whikst we were there.

Victorian Hotel

We enjoyed our stay at the Swartberg Hotel, although a little more expensive than the average in Prince Albert. As its a Victorian building the bathroom is not ultra modern, but clean and functional. The pool, a welcome spot to cool down on a hot January day, and grounds were beautifully kept. Breakfast is served in the cafe next door, with hot choices cooked to order at the leisurely pace we've come to expect in South Africa 😎
