Just returned from a lovely 5 nights at the Tivoli Marina Portimao. The apartments are in a great location close to the fantastic beach and with lovely views over the marina from the balcony .Everywhere is kept really clean.Great choice at breakfast. The hotel has some old charm and is managed beautifully with modern adaptations. The staff are very welcoming and helpful and the room and facilities are great. Despite previous reviews, we had no issues with parking or locality; managing to park street-side daily and less than 100m from the front door. We had a wonderful relaxing week at Vale da Lapa in April with our two young sons. The villa was spacious, well equipped and cleaned every day if you want it to be. The swimming pools are great and the boys loved them. It was quite quiet the week we were there, so we often had them to ourselves. We also used the spa facilities and these were great too. Really great property and really well fitted out in the kitchen for cooking which can be rare. Great and helpful staff who are very responsive. Great to have the easy access to the pool for lazy afternoons and the Moroccan restaurant at the pool is amazing and really good value. Easy 15-minute walk into the centre of town which goes past small local Portuguese restaurants, bakeries and coffee shops so you could experience the fancy old town places as well as the authentic local places.

Fantastic setting, built into the cliff face. Probably the best views in the whole of The Algarve! Wonderful rooms with extraordinary views out over the sea. Amazing breakfasts, great food and drink during the day. Great staff who treat you like one of the family.

The Salema Beach Village ishigh end with top spec properties. The properties are very well built and tastefully (yet simply) decorated. We stayed in Townhouse No.111 which is a 3-bedroom and at the back of the complex, overlooking the pool. Once the pool bar opens it will be next door to this property.
