Everything about this property is really nice. The staff, cleanliness, breakfast and location are all very satisfactory points. Plus the decor with its granite walls and stairs are worth a look

Beautiful hostel
Beautiful hostel -- stone walls and beamed ceilings -- it makes you feel like you're staying in a fancy hotel (well, aside from the bunk beds). The location is terrific, and the place has plenty of areas to chill out in.

Definitely did not meet all the praise I have heard. Check in was okay - nothing phenomenal. My room for 4 beds was very tight. If three people stand at the same time, there wouldn't be any room for me to even WALK, let alone do normal activities. On second floor, BOTH the female and male bathrooms were out of service. There are at least 24 beds on the second floor. Imagine the mess in the unisex bathroom/shower which houses two toilets and two showers. Soap containers were frequently empty. There weren't regular checks up for cleanness. The good things were: 1. location. 2. privacy In conclusion, I would go back if I have to, but there are better options in Porto

Super Happy 1st Hostel Resident :)
This was such a wonderful Hostel. I had actually never stayed at a hostel before and this was my first time - changed my perceptions of hostels completely! The staff were wonderful, so freindly and helpful. The location was AMAZING! literally 2 minute walking distance from the river and restaurants. The pictures are very real, everything was exactly the way I saw it in the pictures - no fluff! the beds were comfortable and private - even though i was in a 8-bed shareable room. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone travelling solo, in a group, or even as a couple. Price was also a big bonus for the location and all the facilities in the hostel. Thanks for such a great stay!

Great location: Downhill from Porto Sao Bento train station, and a stone's throw away from Ponte Luis I and the Douro River. The staff were friendly and the room was great too.

To start off the reservation process was awful. On top of that it is incredibly loud. The second floor has one unisex bathroom. I was then told I could go to the third floor if I wanted to use their bathroom. The outlets in the bedroom do not work. If someone books a private room they have to walk through the dorm rooms first. Also, it's says 18 and old, but I am currently listening to a young child crying in the attached private room. If I could change my flight to go home early I would.

Friendly and comfortable at the Blue Socks Hostel
Really enjoyed my time at the blue socks hostel. Staff were friendly, it provided a great opportunity to meet people and the location was great.

Not bad.
It’s in a convenient location by the Ribiera. You have the river, the bridge, an atm, bars and restaurants nearby. Nightly extra charges for handling luggage though.

A couple watch outs...
We had a private room. Liked everything other than 2 drawbacks: the AC didn’t function properly and the controls on the faucets/water were really poor, we could barely get cold water.

Arrived and charged extra for the first time in 3 months of travelling Europe for storing a bicycle. Staff were more concerned with the girl next to me checking in. The rooms windows didn’t close so the noise from outside wasn’t great, and there is a leak that smells pretty bad leaking onto the downstairs bar stairs. Not a bad place but given the reviews I expected a lot more

My stay was astounding. By far one of the BEST hostels in PORTUGAL! If you stay at--BLUESOCK HOSTELS OPORTO--this is a 12-level, 217-bed property located in the heart of OPORTO--they offer a SUITE, private rooms, or dorm bed rooms--expect 5-star treatment, great facilities, CAFE/BAR on-site with BREAKFAST, DINNER OPTIONS for an additional cost in the basement, nightly activities every night at the bar with awesome staff. Hostel has a free computer in the common area, shared restrooms in all common areas, levels. Rooms have nice, comfy beds with the basics for your stay with AC charging units and bed light. There are lockers under each bed in each room for luggage storage, and upon check out there is a luggage storage in the reception area. Hostel conveniently located in heart of Oporto tourist area with shopping, sites within in walking distance. THE BLUESOCK HOSTELS crew are very professional staff, provide guests with very good hospitality. Had a private twin-room, in the 11th floor. I would say its bigger and better than a conventional hotel room, for a slightly cheaper price. The twein-room has everything included, towels, bathroom amenities, breakfast. The picture of the twin-room are accurate.The location is great, and the service was up to the standards. Free wifi in the whole building. Breakfast was good enough, giving you a good start of the day. Would absolutely recommend the twin-rooms, hotel standards with the benefit of the hostel benefits.

엄청 좋다는 후기때문에 기대해서 그런지 좀 아쉽다는 생각이 들었습니다. 우선 화장실에 샤워기 분리형이 아니라 불편했고 주방사용이 어렵다는 점이 아쉬웠습니다. 시내 근처라 차 소리나 밖에 소리가 잘 들리는데 잘때는 괜찮았습니다. 그리고 짐을 보관할 수 있는 사물함은 좋은데 자물쇠를 가져와야합니다. 위치는 괜찮았았고 서비스도 나쁘지 않았지만 다시 또 이용하고 싶지는 않은 숙소입니다.

Tolles Hostel :) Zimmer und Badzimmer sind gut ausgestattet und sauber. Das Bett ist sehr bequem. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Empfehlenswert!

Eu simplesmente AMEI esse hostel! Muito bem localizado, a poucos metros do Douro, em uma area super charmosa e animada, cheia de lojas e restaurantes e perto do metrô (estação São Bento), que vc chega facilmente do aeroporto. O Hostel em sí tbm é maravilhoso! Super moderno, facil acesso, confortavel e limpo. O quartos sao otimos! As roupas de cama limpas e novas. Tudo muito organizado.
