Fantastic choice for those looking for great value accommodation. Good location, close to town and near Bora Bora yacht club. Lovely pool. Access to trek to WW2 canons from property. Very clean room with fridge and coffee and tea provided. Breakfast available on request by the pool. Definitely highly recommend.

We had an amazing time staying at Aroa Kainga Bungalows and can't recommend it enough. Jane and Craig were absolutely wonderful hosts—so friendly and incredibly helpful. We arrived in Rarotonga well before check-in time, and they kindly let us settle in early. They were just as accommodating when we checked out, letting us stay a bit longer while we waited for our taxi to the airport. The bungalow itself was great, very clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. The terrace was fantastic for...

Great!

We really enjoyed our stay here, very convenient as it's close to the airport! The staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful! Even sorted us a transfer to the ferry terminal. Couldn't recommend more!

A wonderful hidden gem...the property itself is very spacious, stylish and well equipped. The views from the patio area are stunning and it is incredibly quiet. Vaite looked after us amazingly well and made sure our last day in French Polynesia before returning home was extra special. Since it is far away from Tahiti, it is probably best to rent a car to explore the area as there is a lot to see.

We wanted somewhere to spend the day after arriving early on a cruise and flying out only at 2345. Many hotels offered limited and expensive day pass options, or a night booking with check-in around 1400! This was a $40 taxi ride but a nice, simple but comfortable guest house with great views. Nice outside areas. Small pool. Our room was available by 1030, and was roomy and clean. Food was available from a limited menu. Friendly and helpful staff. Only negatives. A/C in the bedroom struggled in...

Very nice staff

I am a global traveler and I must say that the Big Island Retreat is one of the best places I ever visited! Why? 1. The personal touch - chatting to the hostess Gigi is like talking to an old friend - she will wait for you even if you have late arrival and she will give you advice for cool places and tours to visit with a complimentary drink. 2. The design and the character - most hotel chains (even the five star ones) lack the personal touch in the design. Our room looked like a Hawaiian...

Reception staff super helpful and friendly

Fabulous home from home in a great green location. Ray was a great host and good company. The room I had for 3 nights was perfect!

Great views of the ocean and surrounding greenery. The property is well maintained and the communal area with pool table and games Is a great touch. Jade and the team went to every effort to make sure our stay was amazing. A 5 minute drive Into Hilo town but beware if you choose to walk it, the 20 minute walk back is all uphill.
