Great spot for the price. Beautiful, quiet views. Biggest concern was the room not being sealed from the environment (considerable amount of ants, a couple wasps, etc.). Nothing I didn’t anticipate having read other reviews. I still give a 5 because the villa has so much character and the view is so spectacular. If they sealed the rooms better I’d be more certain I’d be back.

A bit far from the ferry and main spots, so not ideal if you don’t drive or cycle. My room had an amazing view of Mount Otemanu, though there was a slight damp smell. The receptionist was incredibly helpful, especially after I injured myself falling off one of their bikes, and she arranged taxis for my arrival and departure. Great option if you’re out all day on tours and excursions.

If you’re unwilling to pay the prices required to stay in the high-end resorts, this is an outstanding alternative. The service was impeccable and the view from my Apartment Maestro was to-die-for beautiful. It’s a guest house, not a hotel, and not walking distance from the airport ferry terminal, but the staff arranged a taxi for me both directions. There are two restaurant options down near and on the main road, and the guest house breakfast (extra charge) was great. I highly recommend this place!

Villa Yrondi is an amazing property with unforgettable views of Mount Otemanu and the lagoon. The hostes Valerie is very kind and welcoming. Her attention to every detail pairs seamlessly with Garrick Yrondis beautiful artworks. Our time at Villa Yrondi will not be forgotten. From the lush grounds to the beautiful staff and the properties guard dog (an adorable little Daschaund) Villa Yrondi is truly one of a kind.

Valerie was an exceptional host; very accommodating. The Villa is not a 5 star resort, but a quaint and charming property and an experience not seen elsewhere in French Polynesia. Anyone who complains about Villa Yrondi, has failed to understand the context in which the Villa operates. If you can think past the pretty pictures and set real expectations the property will deliver.

Beautiful views, comfortable stay

Stayed 5 nights mid April in Sacriste apartment and so glad we stayed at Villa Yrondi. Views are as pictured and spectacular. No onsite restaurant but we bought light groceries at Chin Lee market and made own breakfast daily in the kitchenette. Valerie was amazing and so helpful. All staff was friendly. We had a small car and glad we did. Parking is tight so let them know in advance. If we ever came back we would certainly try Villa Yrondi first.

Unparalleled views from the roof deck, super friendly staff: Valerie could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Free use of bicycles made for easy daily trips to Matira beach or up to Viatape. Great for longer stays, each room has a fully functional kitchen.

We found character, charm and kindness at Villa Yr

Villa Yeondi is filled with character and charm. Our suite was spacious and comfortable and we particularly enjoyed our terrace. It was lovely to eat breakfast surrounded by flowers while taking in the incredible view. Valerie was wonderful and helped us iron out travel complications and arranged a snorkeling trip that was the highlight of our stay on the island.

We loved our stay at Villa Yrondi! The view of the bay and the mountain from our dining area was gorgeous. Our apartment was clean and comfortable, filled with beautiful art and fully stocked with needed items. . The manager, Valerie, was so kind and helpful, booking several taxi rides for us and always ready for any questions we might have. For an extra fee, the delicious continental style breakfasts were delivered to our patio each morning: eggs any style (we had cheese omelettes), choice of coffee, tea or hot chocolate, and fresh rolls and pastry with butter and jam. Air conditioning in the bedrooms. We loved the open air style of the Sculpture unit. I would definitely come back again.

This Villa is a special place with a lovely host. We enjoyed the breakfast option and made use of the decent bikes to go to Matira beach. Sunset from the terraces was amazing. We liked the indoor/outdoor living while still using Air Con in the bedroom when needed. There’s an elite restaurant just down the driveway- book well in advance.

This is an exceptionally beautiful Villa. Our room had a beautiful deck and the walls were covered with beautiful paintings from the Villa's proprietor and a kitchen. We loved using the bikes to get to Vaitape for groceries, and to get to the Matira beach for snorkeling, and to circumambulate the island. Valerie, the hotel host, helped us retrieve a laptop from another island and enrolled us in a snorkeling tour, for which we were grateful!

This guest house has some wonderful qualities. Valerie was indispensable in helping us with everything from dinner reservations to getting an umbrella. The breakfast and patio are beautiful. The bed is comfortable and there is plenty of space in the bathroom. For some reason there was a smell in the toilet. Grounds are nice and location is good. Unless you want to bike you will need a car.

Villa Yrondi's apartments are not the most functional (the shower and bathroom taps lack of water pressure) but it is very charming and authentic, with great view. Staff is helpful although not always on-site. You definitely need a car to drive around.

Villa Yrondi was the perfect place for me to be. I stayed 3 weeks. Valerie and Garrick are outstanding people and made me feel at home. I was looking for tranquility and inspiration which was found in every moment. Bring good shoes and utilize the bikes to get back and forth to town and the beach. I rented a car for a day to get groceries so I could stock up and cut down on my commuting time. The jet skiing was one on my favourite activities, if you’re going to hike the volcano make sure to find the natural water falls to refill your water bottle. Bora Bora is a very unique place when your eyes are open.

We will cherish the view from our upper level apartment (Sculpture) and view deck for a long long time. It was quite spectacular. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable with AC in both bedrooms. There is an adequately equipped kitchen and large bathroom. Mr. Yrondi’s paintings and statutes adorn the apartment. The villa is a truly unique place to stay on the island. Valerie, the manager, is friendly, helpful and available. Merci, Valerie! The villa is a bit removed from the Vaitape center. We rented a car for some of the time to get around the island; otherwise we used Jerry Taxi service which was excellent. Bikes and vespas would work as well. The famed Matira beach is about a 5 minute drive. We hope to return.
