Beautiful old country house, which we love. Owner supplied me with a kettle when i asked and got us seats in his garden. Breakfast was lovely with homemade products.

Cannot praise this highly enough - second visit and it gets better every time. Wonderful welcome, Tabled’Hote meal, tranquility and accommodation. Completely faultless. Highly recommended.

Another nice stay here, the rooms are always clean. Staff are helpful and it is brilliant value. I will book when next in the area

Hostel provided in room fridge and kettle. Hostel kitchen in main building, large dining area, no specific sitting room beside TV. wifi in main building Small local shop and bakery , Swimming pool are nearby , Small supermarket walking distance bus service 2 main routes, one very close the other walking distance

A great property for the price. Very clean, rooms can fit a number of people. Staff are friendly and helpful and the restaurant and bar next door great (breakfast included gluten free options if you ask)..There is no air conditioner as people mentioned but apparently they don't come in a 1 star hotel. The weather was low 20s and humid. At times the room still felt too warm but not unbearably so.

Great!

Absolutely spectacular. We really enjoyed our time at Chateau de Candes. Bertrand and Sam went out of their way to ensure that our stay was as comfortable as possible. Running this place is not easy but the family are doing their absolute best as custodians. They are fully dedicated and committed to making Chateau de Candes a success. Merci Bertrand et Sam. We will definitely be back.
