"We stayed in 12 hotels over 3 trips in Puglia and this is the only one we wouldn't go back to.  1) Noise: You can hear everything going on in the hallway, the other B&B room, and the apt next door. Our last morning we were woken up at 6am by the very loud guests next door. This is obv not something the host can control - but it makes it impossible to relax. 2) No breakfast: Host said it specifically explained online that there is no breakfast and snacks are offered as a courtesy. I don't mind having to go out for breakfast - but then why misleadingly call this a B&B? Most guests don't read the fine print and will assume a B&B has breakfast. Please call it a Pensione or Rooms. 3) Room: No kettle (big inconvenience if you're a tea drinker), no mugs, no glasses. The new couch, which allows more people to sleep here, makes it much more cramped than in the photos - I wouldn't have booked it if I had known the table with chairs was no longer there. The terrace is in a very small, narrow courtyard that bathrooms have windows onto, so the air isn't the freshest. 4) Perfectly safe area, but not picturesque. In general, you only need a half-day in Altamura - do yourself a favor and either splurge on that fancy hotel in the Old Town, or stay in the absolutely delightful Giardini B&B in Gravina in Puglia for the same price as this - it's just a 20min train ride (even shorter by car) and you'll have nicer finishes, much more space, a nice breakfast spread, a garden patio, and more."

"Let me start out by saying getting to the Hotel is not the easiest. The hotel will send you a message telling you to call when you get to the area and they will guide you in a GPS will not navigate inside the city. What the message should include is "Via Vittorio Veneto, 44, 70022 Altamura BA, Italy" this is the entrance. The hotel itself is gorgeous, the staff is friendly and helpful. Valet parking is very convenient. We were in room 102 for 5 nights. The bed mattress felt like we were rolling out of bed. There is a closet but limited drawer space for 2 people. The bathroom is large for Italy but again limited essential could use a few more towel bars and soap holders in the shower. I know I am an American used to everyday pleasantries. All in all we had a good time and would stay again if in the area."

"The property is clean and looks like its been updated, but i don't think it could be classed as a 4 star. The staff were not that friendly or helpful. Asked to see the spa before paying to use it, and initially this was declined, but eventually allowed to see it (no one was using it at the time). The breakfast was good. General service at the bar was ok. Definitely would not recommend eating in the restaurant for dinner."
