This apartment was mis-sold, as it is student accommodation (10 bedrooms per flat). Each guest has shared access to the common room, housing the kitchen and sofa. On check in (after a long on-line book in process (crashing server)), the common room was inhabited with other guests, who were cooking tea. The bins were overflowing and the place generally stank. Packed with history and a real oasis of peace and comfort.
Afternoon tea and breakfast were delicious with a wide choice of options. I felt that the dinner option I had was a bit “nouveau cuisine”, lots on the plate but not much there. But what was there was very well prepared.
Spa was very pleasant, although a bit of a shame that the steam room was out of order, as well as the lift to the spa.
Will be staying again, it’s not cheap, but you pay for what you get. "
"As a solo female traveller, I was made to feel very welcome and safe. Staff were all amazingly friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and smelt lovely when i arrived.
I was given the option not to have the room made up which i took advantage of. Better for me and the entertainment.
Food was good and gave value for money.
Never stayed atcan Ibis before but definitely would again.
