The front desk clerk Hannah was patient & professional unraveling the wrong reservation dates from Expedia!
She couldn’t change the dates to 5/23-5/25 since the reservation was made thru Expedia, which caused AN HOUR of frustrating conversations with Expedia, particularly Gerard, who was difficult to understand and seemed unable to cancel the wrong dates 5/25-5/27 and change to correct dates noted above. He kept offering to make a reservation at another location while I kept explaining being due at a family wedding event in an hour. He offered to refund my
Money in 7-10 days and I could pay the Hilton Garden Inn to get my room there. It was a long, aggravating experience that was on the verge infuriating, and Hannah took the time to figure it out & get my sister & I in a room as per our reservation!
While the hotel room floors & surfaces were dirty & hallway rugs filfthy, the staff were helpful & courteous. The hotel also charged an additional $10 per waffle, in addition to the $11.95 per person for the breakfast buffet. Again, the young man staffing the buffet was courteous & attentive, but in No Way was the hot buffet & waffles worth $50!!! In retrospect I’d really like a full refund for the overall disappointing experience. I won’t stay at that particular Hilton Gardens Inn again; and with this as my 1st reservation with Expedia, it’s likely to be my last! I’ve booked directly with hotels for many decades, and think the 3rd party App process useless!
