The property is clearly advertised as having doors that open from the lounge to the outside sea front. On arriving at the property I found the doors from the lounge locked and no key available to unlock them. "Stunning country castle style hotel. Rooms finished to a very high standard. Staff were wonderfully attentive, seemed genuinely pleased to help and proud of their establishment. Packed with history and a real oasis of peace and comfort. Afternoon tea and breakfast were delicious with a wide choice of options. I felt that the dinner option I had was a bit “nouveau cuisine”, lots on the plate but not much there. But what was there was very well prepared. Spa was very pleasant, although a bit of a shame that the steam room was out of order, as well as the lift to the spa. Will be staying again, it’s not cheap, but you pay for what you get. "
