"Some good, some inconvenient things but overall a decent stay near St Malo. It's close to a grocery store and not too far from town by car. Room has a good amount of space, the bed was comfortable and the shower had good water pressure. There's no water kettle. Breakfast buffet was extensive, and the staff was very nice. Check out is later than most places (12pm). Downsides: even though they have AC available in the hotel, during the spring (late April) they won't turn it on and the front desk controls the climate system. The rooms were very hot (25 degrees C) but they wouldn't do anything about it and there are no screens on the windows so bugs flew in when we leave the windows open. Also, it seems like they turn off the hot water in the middle of the day so at 5pm the shower was cold but at 7:30pm, there was hot water again. Finally gym is small and a inconvenient to use. There are just 3 cardio machines (treadmill, cardio, elliptical +a table of towels - no weights, mats, water cooler) but the earliest you can use the room is 7:30am and you can't use the treadmill until 10am. We didn't use the pool and sauna but our friends said it was nice."

"Everything is fine at the Brit Transat St Malo; except when the manager forbids the staff to serve you an evening meal because they have German tourists buses. It is frustrating as it is so convenient and good when you have been driving for 2 hours to reach StMalo.They serve dinner on other occasions, except when German tourist take precedent on returning customers. The manageress doesn’t seem to want to correct this nor accept it is poor customer relation Was told to book half board next time but this was not possible on the website. Is this an issue with Expedia or the Brit hotel?"

"Much better now that the hotel is being refreshed, lovely rooms. The team is always lovely, nice area, 10min drive to the ferry terminal and plenty of shopping around during the day. "

"Just a very weird place, the spa was disgusting. There was a really weird vibe between staff and people at this hotel. Wouldn’t stay again."

"Check-in was easy and the room was reasonably clean, but there was no hand soap or shower gel. The front desk staff member with glasses was curt when this was brought to her attention, although another colleague resolved the issue quickly. At checkout, when asked about my experience, I mentioned that the bed was noisy and uneven. The same staff member appeared to take the comment personally rather than as feedback. A more professional response is generally expected from front desk staff in the hospitality industry, particularly in France."
