"The location was great for seeing the castle and the old town. The decor is tired and could use a little attention. The breakfast was okay. They could use an additional coffee machine as the wait for a cup of coffee was quite long."

"Twin room as away with son. Young female receptionist lacking usual warm Dakota warm welcome. No mention about parking for reg number needed, no asking about dining etc Shower room was an accessible shower wet room with no curtain and water everywhere when it was used. Heated mirror didn’t work and bathroom extractor also not functioning. 1star Twin bed was poor, felt lumpy and didn’t sleep great either of the 2 nights. Checkout again was as underwhelming as checking in, different young girl this time But again no chat or interest all very transactional. Service is the differentiator I believe and exactly this weekend, 3rd time Dakota but very underwhelmed this time sadly. I normally wax lyrically about Dakota but maybe the shine has now worrn off"

"Great central hotel. Value excellent with tasty breakfast. Best thing is the window in room opens, for some air. Hotels with heating are a bit stuffy at times so this would encourage us to return again! The Turkish restaurant across the road is absolutely delish!! Great night! "

"Lovely room,Staff very nice and welcoming. And my husband and I requested the same room as we stayed in before , as we were returning guests, to the hotel .And the hotel upgraded us to our preferred room .Thank you, and we will be returning soon ."

"Staff are all excellent. They try very hard. Nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is extremely dated and needing refurbished. Other than that the cleanliness was its biggest let down. We walked into our room to a pair of dirty socks on the floor. I didn’t complain just put them in the bin. The room curtains were caked with dust and closed on our arrival. Opened them the next morning to realise the windows are all growing mould alone the seals. It’s unpleasant. The beds themselves appeared clean and were comfortable. "

"I'm from America where there's a lot more craft beer AKA ipas. I would like to see more ipas everywhere in the UK. If I'm on holiday I want a nice IPA. Hazy ipas are definitely the new craze and we love them!. Suggestion"
