Playacar Fase I Trip

Breakfast: The breakfast was subpar, featuring very basic items. Be prepared to wait in line for at least 10 minutes just for an omelet. Lunch: The quality was inconsistent—much better at some restaurants, but poor at others. They struggled to cook meat properly, though the seafood was decent. Dinner: The menus were much better across the different restaurants. However, securing reservations was surprisingly difficult, which was frustrating since most places were half-empty when we arrived. We enjoyed the majority of the appetizers, but the main courses were lacking. The desserts were overly simple and didn't taste great, although the presentation was amazing. Bars: The drinks were very basic and of low quality. We also noticed improperly cleaned glassware and dishes at all of the locations. Staff: The personnel were incredibly nice and friendly, even those with minimal English. Transportation / Getting Around: The resort is massive. We were told golf carts would be readily available to take us anywhere, but there was a severe shortage most of the time with no clear way to request one. Be prepared to do a lot of walking. Overall Value: We paid $1400 week for two adults and two teens sharing a room. Considering that price, the experience was a solid "okay +."

I liked the large beach area. After that everything was basic or below basic. Check in line went super slow. Normally staff would offer refreshments at every other resort I’ve been to but not this one. Our 1st room had a leaky shower that would leak into the whole bathroom. We had to stay a day in that room until they moved us and they didn’t help us move. After the move the bathroom had spots of mold. Ewwwww. Restaurant service is extremely slow every restaurant we ate at food came out and it was cold not cooked properly the steakhouse is an fee 20 per adults $10 per child for below basic steak mistake we ordered had an extreme amount of fat and grizzle service was slow and food came out cold Italian restaurant portions are extremely small again food came out cold even the buffet it food warmers but all the food seem to be cold my son had waffles one morning that were like hard as can be. The only hot food for breakfast was the omelettes cooked to serve one omelette line that consistently would have 10 to 15 people on it so you would always have to wait

The beach was def not the best. Otherwise would have given 5/5!! Lots of sargassum , which I knew was a risk going here. But no regrets ! Pool’s were fantastic!! Having a sister hotel next door with many more pools and restaurants was a def plus!!
