The staff at the hotel was great, very friendly and helpful. They have organized all my excursions and provided detailed itineraries, which is super helpful when you don’t know exactly what places to visit or just want the freedom to have everything organized for you.

Staff not friendly. Locked key in room and girl at front desk didn’t want to give me another key. I swear she rolled her eyes at me. Charged me 50% more for an airport car than other nearby hotels. Place isn’t bad, but better, cheaper, friendlier options all over Old Quarter in Hanoi. Wouldn’t stay again.

The hotel is outdated and worn. Definitely not a 5 star hotel, 3 star at most. There’s no rooftop bar or any rooftop.

The Meritel Hanoi is one of the best hotels we have had the pleasure of staying in. The common areas and rooms are beautiful and comfortable, the bed and pillows were wonderful. The food is very good and the rooftop pool and bar are hard to leave. The best and most memorable part of our stay at the Meritel Hanoi was how well we were treated by the entire staff. I have traveled globally and stayed in many nice hotels over the years and have to say the staff at the Meritel Hanoi is the friendliest, most helpful and professional hotel staff I have experienced. Our host who checked us in and assisted us throughout our stay was so personable, genuine, helpful and kind. Ami made us feel veryspecial. Our next trip to Hanoi will definitely be at the Meritel Hanoi. Thanks to the entire staff.
