Staff was friendly and the area around the hotel had lots of nice sights to see, temples, the King Shrine, and some ruins, as well as the big gold Buddha

Liked: Cleanliness
The room was good value for money. Clean, quiet, and safe. Hard bed and pillows though. A old shabby but respectable room, clean and with a reasonable shower. Quite reasonable for the price. In a quieter part of town without the large numbers of noisy birds a few hundred meters away. A short walk to the river, very near massage for the travel weary, and great coffee 200m away at Jipiti. Maybe 500 to 700m to train station markets (great street food choices), and the morning markets. Except for the hard pillows, I was happy there for 6 nights.
A very tired hotel. Bedding and towels worn through and dubious plumbing as half the toilet cystern flooded the floor with each flush and no hot water for shower. Very comfortable bed though at the end of a long train ride
Very helpful and accommodating night security guard who spoke great English, had our booking problems sorted by breakfast the next day.
Well done that man.
Booked this hotel with Expedia and the "cheap" rate gives you the annexe to the lowrise rooms "hotel" in Atit Wong Street, called Petchpailyn, not the main Pailyn Hotel highrise. Quiet location and easy access to the riverside and the TOT office there and many night restaurants and markets south of Naresuan Road. Also, a nice walk around the bridges with food and drink pop ups. Good enough for the price, but not a bargain and nothing special.
