"The desk staff were very rude when we checked in, a lady named Kay Hill, ignored us (and several other patrons) for several minutes while having a personal phone conversation.
Our hotel room had no shower curtain and the sink was damaged, but the room was clean and bright.
The hotel’s location is wonderful and well worth some minor inconveniences."
"The staff was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make us and our pet feel at home. Unfortunately, the room did not match the quality of the service. It was quite dark, dated, and it needed a deep clean, as we found it quite dirty upon arrival. "
"The lobby was clean and the decor is nice. But basically this is a solidly average hotel that needs some improvement. There was rust in the run basin, crumbs in the tub, poor lighting in the room and the toilet ran consistently and was steaming with hot water in the toilet bowl. The worst part was the restaurant was closed which we hadn’t been told about in advance. You can’t even get a cup of coffee in the lobby, no food, no breakfast. There isn’t even much to walk to nearby. I’d pick somewhere else. This place markets itself as a boutique style hotel because they have fun wallpaper and cute tiger themed decor, but it is a basic, older hotel at heart. "
"Still under construction. Beautiful rooms. Most staff was helpful and pleasant.
Dining facilities are not up to standard. Many items on the menu were not available. I left one restaurant after being told 4 times that my selections were unavailable.(Sorry, we are out of ...) I went to the other restaurant, ordered a BLT. After waiting a while, I was told there was no sliced bread, but they could serve the BLT on a bun. I cancelled my order and left."
"Room was large, comfortable. Only issue there were no towels, just 2 hand towels. Unfortunately this was not discovered until stepping out of the shower"
Courtyard by Marriott Baton Rouge Acadian Centre/LSU Area
8/10 Good
"Breakfast was meh, i think a continental breakfast would have been better. The room was clean however our balcony door handle was broken and house keeping never came. The front desk staff was awesome, so overall not the best but definitely not the worst "
