"Tanah Gajah was by far the most relaxing vacation my wife and I have ever had. From our villa with infiti pool looking on to the rice paddies to the private walled accomodation, the extensive beautifully designed gardens, wonderful food by chef Dean, everything superb! Staff couldn’t do enough and everyone, from ground staff to housekeeping to management should be proud of your customer services, a truly fantastic experience, my wife and I can’t wait to come back."

"The stay at Maya was nice and the area was beautiful. The Villas are very peaceful as well as the whole property. There is a nice calm feeling at this resort as it feels secluded even though it is very close to the downtown Ubud area. The live performances at dinner were a fun addition; if that be the traditional dancing at the main restaurant or the band doing cover songs at the bar. We are giving Maya 4 stars rather than 5 because a lot of the amenities stopped between 5 and 7 which created multiple inconvenient experiences on trip. For example, the tram is a great amenity that takes guests to downtown Ubud but it only runs from 9am to 5pm. This is such an early time to be shutting down this amenity. In addition the pools and spa close at 7pm which seems very early. Regardless of the amenities, this was a very nice resort to have some calm and just be."

"I stayed at Hard rock with my family of 5. We had an absolutely amazing stay. From the time you get out of the car to enter to the time you leave, the staff make the stay fantastic! They are the most friendliest, warm and polite group of staff I have ever come across and it was completely consistent. They were ready to help any way possible and always had a smile on their face. The facilities at the hotel are superb and the pool is the absolute highlight! It is huge, the temperature is perfect, there are so many different sections and the cabanas are brilliant. The breakfast is varied and the halal options are amazing. The room size is perfect and very clean. The rooms have everything you will need and the entertainment around the hotel is exceptional. They have a great selection of activities, events and entertainment which is detailed on the TV for when you arrive. The special touch of the staff addressing you personally when you call reception makes you feel like they care so well done for that. My family and I loved our stay and wish we could have stayed longer. The location is fantastic! Next time I am looking for a hotel in any part of the world, the Hard Rock will be my fist choice. "My husband and I loved our room. It was clean and reasonably sized. The shower was very large and fully enclosed hence no water all over the floor when you’ve finished, which is usually the case in a lot of Bali hotels! So nice to step out onto a dry floor! The breakfast was yummy, lots of choice and fresh, well presented food! Staff were so polite and friendly and very accommodating! Air conditioning worked well! The pool is well maintained and very relaxing. Located in a good area, close to lots of shops and amenities. Very close to airport. Saves long journeys to and from the airport. Our only complaint was it’s located next door to a large church. We could hear a mixture of singing & voices talking which was extremely loud due to being broadcast over a loud speaker! This happened the day we arrived and went on for about 4-5 hours non stop and on the Thursday before Easter it went from lunchtime till 11.45 pm, approx 12 hours!! It’s not the hotels fault but unfortunately it was hard to escape it. We closed our doors to the balcony but we could still hear it. We would stay there again but not on Sundays or whenever there are religious sermons happening! "
