"A proper country pub, with a decent room. Good beer and I had a very nice steak supper. Good cooked breakfast in the morning, all for a good price. What’s not to like! "

"The toilet was on the outside of the room which i was not expecting when i had booked a room with a private bathroom. The shower also steps onto carpet and there is no exhaust fan and no way to open the window which makes room quite humid when trying to straighten hair. Also concerned also the shower had some mould in it. The no exhaust fan with the shower being in the room could lead to mould problems in the future. Otherwise okay"

"We stayed just one night at The Burrator Inn but what a lovely stay. We had a tasty dinner before retiring to our large, well furnished, comfortable bedroom. The room was warm and welcoming with a good en suite bathroom. The breakfast menu was excellent, and the staff friendly and efficient. We would certainly recommend it to our friends."

The food was tasty and plentiful, proper food, not that novelle cuisiine nonsense. The beer was well-brewed and truly tasty. The parking was a bit cramped but nothing that any reasonably competent driver could not cope with. We would definitely stay there again."

"I've stayed there twice now on each visit to Plymouth. The rooms have been refreshed, clean and the area is generally fairly quiet. The location means you can walk to the Hoe, Barbican readily, and the Drake Circus is 5 minutes away. If I return to Plymouth, I'd readily come back!! And the staff are great :) "
