Nice view, WiFi didn't work

We enjoyed our stay here, the hotel restaurant had great food, the hotel manager is from my hometown in San Diego, CA so it was fun chatting with him and could see the California vibe at the hotel. Enjoyed the beautiful view, but WiFi never worked in the hotel. It was pretty easy to get our laundry done, book day trips and taxi drivers (although you're not getting that great of a deal), and even booked a massage in the room. Walking distance to Suluban beach to watch the surfers, otherwise not a lot of places within walking distance.

Really nice place, with and excelent service. staff was very helpfull. Clean bedrooms and good food. The drinks and alcohol expensive compared to other places around. But a nice place. Recomended.

Really nice pool & restaurant area, breakfast was really good and could have dinner here also which was great. Closeby to ulu cliffhouse and single fin. Could hire bike from hotel which was reasonably priced to explore Uluwatu. Staff were lovely and go above and beyond would definitely recommend to stay here.

Worn down, made for Chineese tourists

The hotel is fine and the staff is very friendly and helpful but the hotel feels very worn down. Also it feels like the hotel is made for Chinese tourists. By that i mean that the owners has chosen to prioritise thing that Chinese would appreciate, e.g. Chinese music during breakfast. As a European I therefore not appreciated it. Further the breakfast was not good at all, we used it to grab a coffee before heading out and eat breakfast at one of the many splendid restaurants. To give you a further feeling of the place they have a board placed at the restaurant/bar with different drinks on it with the prices. On top of the board it says "Special price only for you". It is not a big deal and it did not bother me but just the fact that they have a sign that must have been standing there for at least 1-2 years with that text tells you what kind of owners there is and their focus. But again, the staff was very friendly and always helpful!

At first the hotel made a positive impression, but it was a mistake. Some of the staff is really trying, but the impression was ruined. 1. There was a terrible smell in the bathroom, which stretched into the room (for which we had to pay extra for the balcony, which we did not ask for). When I said that normally get a discount for such conditions, the girl at the reception said that I had to complain and talk about it earlier, as if they were working 24 hours and there was always someone at the reception (after 22.00 there was no one there and it was not even clear where to look for them). 2. We asked for a late checkout, the amount they announced is not loyal, from 12 to 18.00 43 dollars, when they asked for another 2 hours, because the flight was delayed (all normal hotels do it for free, because no one is checked in at this time anyway, or small price to pay) asked for another 30 dollars for 2 hours. As you can see, we had no options. I am terrified of the hotel's non-client orientation and of such an approach. If you want to be ropped I recommend the rest to choose another place to stay, the good news is that there are many of them nearby. I will not return to this hotel again. The advantages are its comfortable location.

I recommend this place 100%

This place is AMAZING! The staff is incredibly friendly, breakfast is wonderful, and the view is spectacular! We could hear the music coming from the Cliff House at night, but I slept fine without earplugs and my husband needed them to fall asleep, but it wasn't bad at all. We stayed at the Uluwatu Cliffhouse for an extra week, which is right next door and the music coming from the Cliff House was MUCH louder!

The de Sapphire Villa is a resort. The staff are very welcoming and polite. The room was nice. The food we ordered was ok. My husband enjoyed the Nasi Goreng, however, my pizza was awful. There also wasn’t much to do near by the Villa other than surfing. However after we saw a sea snake on Nusa Penida we didn’t want to risk going in the water again. The only other issue was fireworks right outside our window. It woke us up. It would have been nice to know that was coming, but the staff explained they were for a wedding. Overall the villa is very nice and up scale if that is what you are looking for. I would recommend staying here if your plan is to surf.

Dingy creepy smelly room and no view! misleading.

Do not get fooled by the name. Nothing is cliffy abt the property. Do not stay in room #3. The first story which is to be living area is unusable due to rotting wood smell and not enough lighting. Also, behind the wobbly stairs to upstairs where your bed and bathroom is, you find this creepy dirty room full of tangled dusty wires! Overall the room gives a creepy vibe. Also there is no view! This hotel is not near the cliff and also other buildings stuffed together are obstructing the view. Also there is no window by the bathtub!! Bedding is never washed just the sheet cover. Do not get fooled by the name and photos.

Un buen hotel, precioso. Habitaciones muy cómodas. Camas extra grandes. Baño enorme. Piscina y vistas muy buenas. Entorno agradable y muy cuidado. No está cerca de la playa. En general muy bien. ¡Pero! Necesita mejorar. Te arreglan la habitación todos los días. Pero no te cambian las sábanas. Y estás necesitan una renovación tienen algunas manchas del uso. En recepción hay alguno que es más simpático que el otro. Escaso en servicios. Llegas a las 8 pm y no te dan masajes. La comida pasable. El desayuno es de hostal muy flojo. No te llevas una decepción en este hotel. Ni muchísimo menos pero esperaba un poco más.

The property has an amazing view and is really quiet and relaxing. The food is pretty good though could be a tad cheaper. The drinks are a bit expensive and they do a buy 2 and get 3 deal which I think is stupid. The garden views of the villas pretty much look into the back of another building. The staff are nice however they could communicate amongst themselves a bit more so they don't get lost when trying to take you to the chemist. The place is close to everything and the Ulu which is good if you're looking for a bit of a party or other dining options. Overall it's very nice but get a pool view and a scotter.

Best hotel I've stayed at in Bali

I booked very last minute for a surf trip and was so amazed by how nice De Sapphire Cliff Villa was. It is so close to everything, you could stay for a week and not need to leave the Uluwatu area. The 2 story garden villa's were amazing, would be perfect for a honeymoon or couples getaway. Also very quiet and relaxing. The best part of the stay was the staff. Everyone was very friendly, polite and helpful. They really made you feel at home and the stay even more enjoyable. I definitely would recommend staying there and I'm looking at booking my next stay soon. Reece.
