"The hotel stunk of stale cigarette smoke despite the no smoking signs posted everywhere. Our clothing wreaked of it afterwards. We paid with our VISA at check in at 3pm and everything had been approved. At 10pm my family (which included 2 young children) were woken up by the front desk. They said somehow the computer system deleted our VISA information and they needed us to go back to the front desk to pay again. I told them we were all in bed already and would prefer to just do it all in the morning at checkout. However, they were very firm that we go downstairs and pay again immediately. We were very unimpressed with the hotel- especially waking our family up to repay in the night and having all of our belongings stink of stale cigarette smoke. My husband’s CPAP machine even stunk the next day."

"Very cute, clean place to stay in the mountains between Calgary and Vancouver. The only problem I had was that there were a lot of noises, pipes etc. going on all night. Also, they kept sending emails after we had reserved our room. 5 or 6 messages, which I found to be too much, but I suppose others may find helpful. Overall, would definitely recommend!"

"I booked this hotel because of the reviews???(do not believe reviews) it was terrible after driving all day to get to this location, no staff onsite, you have to stand out in the cold to phone a number to get the key which is the mailbox. I would have cancelled if we were earlier! Nothing worked, TV no signal, sink didn't drain, toilet seat moves andthe link was broken. I will attach pictures, THIS IS NOT QUIET OR PEACEFUL!!! SEMI TRUCKS NON STOP ALL NIGHT WITH JAKE BRAKES AS THIS IS THE TOP OF GOLDEN Valley, as they drive down the major grade hill into Golden BC, RED lipstick on a rundown flytrap, parking terrible, the toitet paper jambed with the paper wrap onto the holder the toilets ran all night TERRIBLE after a 10 hr drive to experience thsi, was expecting a little more! I know its not the Ritz but come on! You charge a fee provide service!"
