"Overall, our stay was okay! The motel is nothing fancy, and you definitely get what you pay for. When we arrived, the room was freezing because the heat hadn’t been turned on, and it took quite a while to warm up. It would’ve been nice to arrive to a warm room, especially in the winter. The heating setup was also a little strange, with the living room heated only by the fireplace and the bedroom having a separate radiator. So you couldn't keep the living room warm if you weren’t in the room because you can’t just leave the fire place on all day. We also found some empty alcohol cans underneath the couch, which wasn’t great, and the bed could definitely use an upgrade. On the positive side, the view was absolutely incredible, the water pressure was great, and having complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and body wash was a nice touch! For the price we paid, it was reasonable, but I don’t think it would be worth the higher rates during the summer months without some updates. Overall, it wasn’t a bad stay, but I think the view is really the main selling point here!"

"Amazing location. We stayed in the main lodge, but there are separate cabins. The view of the nearby moutains is incredible. The lodge is off-grid, but they generate their own power. There is a river within walking distance. An artesian spring bubbles up from the parking area. The water in the area is blue from minerals. It's right in the heart of the Rockies near Golden, BC. It's well worth the visit. Staff is helpful and accommodating. We had a nice chat with the manager."
