"The staff was helpful and breakfast was delicious each morning. There were many stairs to walk up to get to our room. The pool was a bit cold for our liking and the hot tub did not work. The play room was wonderful for kids "

"Overall a good experience. Breakfast was just above average as was the room. Hot water was lacking, but the view made up for many of the deficiencies. Spectacular. Pedro was a great host, but some other staff were less than friendly. Parking very convenient and walkability to Buzios centro and Joao Fernandes beach was good. Pool was very pleasant."

"Bucaneiro is centrally located so you can easily walk to downtown to the east and also to Praia do Forno, Praia Brava, and Rocka restaurant. The bathroom is quite small but there was enough space in the room for our luggage. Only 1 person on staff really understood English but he helped us with our bags up to the room and showed us around the property. "Restaurant non-existent, rooms smelled like mildew. Staff was good. Javier provided excellent customer service! Pool was quite small. Breakfast was ok. Overall - average. I would not return. "

Stayed with my family which consisted of a 4 year old, and an elderly aunt, and it was nice and convenient for everyone. I wish we had taken more advantage of the kids programming, "
