Not the fanciest place, but excellent location. It's two blocks from the beautiful Jardin des Tuileries (make right out of front door.) The Louvre is to the left of the Jardin and Seine straight ahead with my personal favorite the Musee d'Orsay across the Seine to the right. If you make a left out of the front door, there's a nice commercial area with shops and plenty of restaurants and cafes in walking distance.
Pyramides and Tuileries metro line are both within a couple of blocks and can easily get you anywhere in the city as well as to Charles de Gaulle airport. (Buy a combined (RER/Metro) roundtrip ticket when you arrive at CDG and take RER B train to Chatelet and #14 metro to Pyramides.)
Hotel itself is kind of old and not fancy, but completely functional with larger rooms than is normal in Paris. Front desk staff was helpful and friendly. I'd avoid the 12 euro breakfast (coffee and croissants) and go out to a cafe or bakery.
Also, if you make a left out of that front door and walk 2 blocks to main intersection and make a right, there's a Department store across from the Souvenir stand with a Post Office on the 2nd floor and a grocery in the basement. My wife and I picked up some nice fresh fruit, croissants, wine, cheese and some snacks for the Hotel room and to throw in our packs.
