The rooms are horrible and small. The room was shaking all day from the underground train. The bed is very small and not comfortable. Very bad experience.

I got a balcony and early check in which was fantastic. Great location. Very loud outside and drilling even at 11:30pm! Ambulances, the whole bit. Otherwise I slept pretty well considering. Clean rooms, perfect for one person.

The room was nice with an updated bathroom and very good air conditioning. This property should NOT advertise that they have a bar. They do not. They have an unmanned counter at the back of the lobby with water dispensers and they will pour you a wine or a beer if requested and they also use it for storing all the luggage. When single travelers seek a hotel with a bar, they are expecting a full service bar, where guests can relax and meet people. This is not that in any way. It is very misleading to advertise this as a bar and I was quite disappointed to not have a place to relax and socialize after sightseeing. On my first day I asked if there was a decaf option for the coffee maker. The lady assured me she would find out and let me know. 4 days later and I never heard from her again. So, I would say the customer service needs work.

We were in Paris for just 2-days & 3-nights and wanted somewhere reasonably priced and convenient to the metro and, hopefully, not to far from some Parisian attractions. The Excelsior filled the bill for us. The room was immaculate. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The metro station was a block away and the Opera was 3 blocks. Two nice cages where across the street with excellent breakfasts. It will be a serious consideration on our next trip to Paris

Room was as expected, small but clean. Bathroom sink drain very slow . Nice balcony on 5th floor, but elevator broke the 1st day and we climbed 5 flights of stairs the rest of our 3 day trip. Was never told that free breakfast was offered on the last day until checkout. Had already purchased elsewhere at that point; no comp was offered. Staff nice, but poor communication kept this from being a better experience.

Very good location, perhaps 2 minutes from L’Opera and Galeries Lafayette if you like shopping! Room spotlessly clean and has everything you need. Very good selection of restaurants nearby - Paul & Julienne almost opposite is wonderful and very well priced. Will definitely return!

Great accommodation! Easy access from the international train station within 20 minute walking distance. Safe place to stay even feeling safe at night. Very convenient in terms of touristic attractions as we walked everywhere within 30-45 minute distances although underground/metro is available every 4-5 minute walking distance. Staff are super helpful and polite. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. We even had a balcony which was great. Nice restaurants and cafes very close and shopping area all around. Would definitely stay again!

Hotel is located in a central region of Paris for ease of connection to landmarks and museums. Close to the Metro too (50 meters). The staff are the most courteous and helpful that I have experienced during the trip. The room was clean and pretty and I had a lovely balcony with nice view. I would stay here again.

Really well located. Room was cute and perfect for our needs. We loved the balcony and the view. Small notes. The mini-fridge temperature was quite warm so when we put our water bottles in, they were barely cooler than room temperature. Also, it was hot out and the room AC wasn't strong enough to keep the room cool. The room was also not really sound proofed. You could hear people in the rooms next door plus whatever was going on in the streets. None of that ruined our trip though, but some of these things might bother some people. Overall, loved our stay at the Excelsior Opera
